That cutting was excellent, I just love the way the stones are holding everything back. The tunnel portals are very impressive obviously well made as they have stood the test of time, cheers.

The base to the signal box has already been constructed. All woodwork and lever gear will be put back to change the point at the YWR in the near future. Love your videos a great watch!!

Thanks Julian. I look forward to seeing it working again👍🙂

An update on the signal box, the metal work for the frame is being installed inside the block work, by our expert volunteers. A ground frame will be installed so the one point we have got is operational before the next running season starts.

Scaffolding is up now with more being done each week. Lots of timber is having to be replaced due to the age and rot in the original wood. 👍🏼

Nicely put together and interesting to see on film. Especially as I didn't really know where we were or had been at the time. 😄 Not an area I know about but awesome to see especially the tunnel and viaduct.

Excellent video Paul, unbelievable how much railway was in that area. I knew there was a tunnel above the connisborugh tunnel but didn't realise it was H and B I assumed wrongley it was dearne valley. Great to see detail films of places I get a fleeting glimpse of from the train Cheers Russ

Cool, we did a spot of lightpainting in Cadeby Tunnel, it's a great place for it and no ghosts made themselves known to us ;-) Thanks for showing the cutting, I'll go take a look, cheers :-)

6.40 the cut in with stones at the side you said you never expected to see. I imagine this is beautiful this time of year. Where is this please??

Hi Susan. This is just behind Sprotbrough Flash nature reserve. Accessible from the footpath from Nursery Lane past the Boat Inn. What three words - ///ambushes.strange.magnets

Just trying to work out we’re you went from viaduct Paul. Done a few different walks round there but never seen this tunnel 😮😊
@MajorMagna2 жыл бұрын
North-East of the viaduct, imagine you're coming down the road from Cadeby itself (Garden Lane), you turn right (onto the path that follows the ex-LMS line towards the former Cadeby Colliery) and the tunnel should be in a cutting to your right. It passes under Garden Lane, and heads towards the quarry.

16:55 the bridge is a footpath that went over both lines sadly this is the only bridge that still there to this day the second one which is to your left has long since gone & all thats left is the abutments with one side being bricked up the path does join onto this on a seperate path leading down to the kingswood(earth) centre the other end joins up with the cadeby quarry road which is the road leading up the bank on the left near a methane gas terminal, the haunting never happened to me when i went & i visted it twice & i did experience sprits but not at this tunnel the other well known haunted railway tunnel to visit is barnsdale tunnel close to wrangbrook
@WobblyRunner2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Jason. I did pay a visit to Barnsdale. It was heavily gated up though when i visited. The only scary thing was all the rubbish coming over the top of the embankment 😄
@jasinere352 жыл бұрын
@@WobblyRunner the reason for barnsdale to be fenced off it the flowing water thats coming from the centre of tunnel named sharons spring this is not spring water its waste water seeping through from the quarry that was on one side of tunnel & is to stop anyone from drinking it knowing it will poison you in some way which is what happened to a homeless girl named sharon who did just that which is the story i got told even though the haunting is real as ive seen the dense fog when i got halfway into the tunnel, this happened on the hotest day of the year when there was no clouds or wind yet the centre of tunnel was bitter cold with a heavy breeze yet cadeby there was no wind or any fog infact it wasnt spooky at all
