Yup! I was born and grew up in MA. Until JFK's murder, the Kennedys were almost venerated. We had no idea of everything that went on behind the scenes with Joe's cheating, Rose Marie's lobotomy, etc. I was in grade school when JFK died. We were let out early from our Catholic school. As we were walking home, every porch seemed to have families out on them, crying. It was horrible. Even worse, there was nothing but footage about the Kennedys all weekend. “A strange, high stoop to her shoulders” This was likely kyphosis, a form of spinal curvature like scoliosis. It’s sometimes increased in women who have it, from slouching forward to cover their chest when developing or, sometimes due to being over developed. It’s not surprising she would shrug her shoulders forward to hide her chest when her dad was so lecherous, “catching her friends alone and tickling and touching them…” there’s no telling what her father did to her and her sister. It makes me wonder if they had another reason to lobotomize her sister, Rosemary Kennedy. So, she couldn’t tell anyone about her father touching her and embarrass him and have everyone know the truth about the family, their closet is full of skeletons.

Maybe her parents eventually created what some people called The Kennedy curse. Kennedy’s Family tragedies. President Kennedy's sister, Rosemary Kennedy, had part of her brain removed in 1941 in a relatively new procedure known as a prefrontal lobotomy. The family had long described her as "intellectually slow." The operation only worsened her condition and she was institutionalized until her death in 2005 at age 86. In 1944 air disaster that killed President Kennedy's oldest brother, Joe Kennedy Jr, while he was volunteering to pilot a World War II bombing mission in France Four years after the family lost him, a small plane crashed during a storm in France in 1948, killing President Kennedy's sister, Kathleen Kennedy, and three others. She was 28. Saoirse Kennedy Hill, a granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy, died of an accidental overdose resulting from a toxic mixture of methadone, alcohol and other prescription drugs, according to a newly issued death certificate. President John F. Kennedy and his brother, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy were both assassinated. Two decades ago, a small plane crash killed JFK's son, John F. Kennedy Jr., his wife, Carolyn Kennedy, and sister-in-law, Lauren Bessette. An infant son dies In 1963, President Kennedy and first lady Jacqueline Kennedy suffered yet another loss. They announced the birth of their third child, Patrick, nearly six weeks early. He survived for less than two days In 1964, JFK's brother, Sen. Edward "Ted" Kennedy, survived a plane crash that killed two people. He was on a campaign flight from Washington to Massachusetts In 1984, David Kennedy, one of Ethel and Robert F. Kennedy's children, died in a Florida hotel after a drug overdose. Michael Kennedy, another son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, died in 1997 during a ski accident in Colorado on New Year's Eve. In 1973, Ted Kennedy's 12-year-old son Edward Jr. lost a leg to bone cancer. Doctors diagnosed Ted Kennedy with a malignant brain tumor in 2008 and he had surgery the same year. He died more than a year later at age 77.

@@LadyBug1967 hi, Chatsworth House is the seat of the Dukes of Devonshire. This Stately home is situated in Derbyshire England. I meant I have visited Kathleen’s grave a couple of years ago as did President Kennedy when he made a state visit here in the early sixties. Obviously I didn’t mean I went with him!!! 🙄🙄🙄

@@joanbroad3528 Yes and no. The English language has grammatical rules to create easier understanding of another person's thoughts. I read rather rapidly the dozens of comments on each podcast and I love everyone's views so yours really gave me pause, as I tried to quickly figure out-- where is this place and how did this happen two years ago when Kennedy's been dead for over half a century. Now Bobby Jr gets around and is alive but it couldn't be THAT Kennedy, could it? So my mind was rapidly moving thru the hundreds of Kennedy's still alive. As an American we can't get away from them. They're always in the news even if they've done nothing more than have a cup of coffee on the terrace of some nondescript Cafe. So I had to be a stickler for grammar. THAT'S all. Sorry if I disturbed you because I think you're a lovely person and I thank you kindly for telling me where this place is located. Also I'm tired of hearing of the Kennedy curse! IF it's a curse to be a Kennedy, I'll take it any day ! THEY have so much money & so much privilege, such that John Junior, who died in that terrible airplane accident, said that his privileged position gave him one main thing, the access to meeting so many interesting people! THAT'S REALLY what I wish that we all had. That of course is impossible and I realize that. But I do enjoy the people I meet in the comment section of these different podcasts. They are very interesting people with unique ways of looking at things. Thanks & be glad that you live in a country where you can kick your leader to the curb in a wink of the 👁️ while Americans can't even get rid of ours when they're past expiration date & and some seem to boomerang back. 🤨

I have noticed how cruel and judgemental these comments are. I have read a biography of Kathleen Kennedy and this short documentary is painting an off kilter picture of this situation. You can't believe everything you hear. Read more about the family before making your decission. These people did a life time of good public service. They made mistakes but who doesn't. Kathleen was a young vibrant woman who made her own decissions. Some good and some were mistakes. She was human.

When I first clicked here, I thought this was about Rose. I'm so sorry to hear that Katherine was treated poorly too. And you mentioned JF and Bobby, but you left out Ted (who outlived his 2 brothers and had just about the same claim to fame, politics). Just saying

Ted was a sexual abuser. Read about a woman he raped that he worked with. A murderer of young girl kopene in the water drowned and walked away.

Ted was responsible for the death of Mary Jo Kopechne at Chappaquiddick. That was Ted’s claim to fame!

Rosemary was the beauty of the family, she looked nothing like the Kennedy's.

Rosemary was the prettiest Kennedy sister. Kathleen was not really pretty but was attractive. Her personality was so sparkling that people were drawn to her. Eunice was very striking when she was young. Patricia and Jean were considered attractive although many people considered Patricia (who later married Peter Lawford) very pretty.

They weren't hoity toity. Though they were rich. 'Aristocratic' people wouldn't associate with them. Because they were Irish. They wouldn't want her to marry the guy who owned Chatsworth? Because of religion, I suppose.
