Yup. I remember renting this on betamax format back in the 80s. Soon as I saw "Roadhouse" I thought there were similarities. I think there was even a sequel to this which I found to be more action packed, been awhile so I can't remember much except it involved going up against ex soldiers.

The most accurate depiction of life in the American southwest in the 80's I've ever seen. I remember my first time down; rescued a hot lady in broken down brand new car, dodged a drive-by, tamed a rattlesnake and built an addition for the equivalent of 12 dollars an hour.

Yeah this was alot better than stuff their making now a days but the mushy parts can stay out of these action movies pretty much why I'm watching older movies and shows now because nothing but garbage on tv these days and I guess I didn't go that far back to get away from the mushy stuff that sorta stuff screwed up our world to this day by the things we watch on tv news social media platforms movies rap music videos all filled with hate sex violence jealousy greed what did people think would happen to the world filling people's heads with that garbage especially kids growing up they thought it was ok because they saw it monkey see monkey do right just another form of brainwashing and plus let's not forget all the subliminal messages they put in now the world is filled with exactly what they watched on tv ever notice everyone acts like life is a contest well blame government for that putting subliminal messages in everything you watch who knows what they put in there ever thought that you remember someone that died and then years later they announced on news that that person recently died that's the power of subliminal brainwashing across America they made people think someone important died so when they really died noone would be that interested united States and 31 other countries have all signed a treaty to help cover up something which I believe it's a Stargate to go forward into the future or back in the past just like 9/11 they created 9/11 saying muslims highjacked us airlines and flew into the twin towers well our government flew those plans into towers they even had floors shut down above and pre wired explosives 30 floors and up to create a war so they'd get government funding to go over there to Saddam Hussein and capture and kill him because they found out he was hiding a Stargate at his home and had futuristic weapons do your research it's out there you just gotta know where to look and know how to use a computer how do you think our world had made a huge leap into the future with all this technology americans now hold an active Stargate and have tons of technology and has the baddest military equipment ever we got jets the whole world wants to get their hands on and trump is selling it all to them right now before he leaves office or Whitehouse but usa has jets coming out 100x better than the ones trump's selling so far advanced noone will mess with the united states lazor weapons on guns jets cyborg army is ready usa is gonna be unstoppable all because they have their own Stargate

David Dalton was played by Charles Taylor. I'm not sure what happened to him but his last acting credit was from 2009. After the two-part Code of Vengeance episodes 1 & 2 of the series, there were two other episodes, episode 3 "Rustler's Moon" which aired July 27th and episode 4 "The Last Hold Out" which aired August 24th, 1986.

Wow! Thank you guys!! Couldn't find this pilot for years! What a great surprise! Sad that authors have changed Dalton's character in "Code of vengeance". He was more interesting in the "Mouth of the snake" episode from Knight rider. Hope you'll download the second Dalton's tv-movie and two one-hour episodes. With best wishes!

The character of David Dalton (L. Charles Taylor) was first introduced in the two-part episode, “Mouth of the Snake” in season 2 of Knight Rider. Dalton was originally an action-oriented government agent. In “Code of Vengeance,” the character is reimagined as a flashback-prone Vietnam veteran who drifts across the country, encountering people in trouble, and helping them to find justice with his unique fighting skills. Although his physical agility, acrobatic skill, and martial arts expertise that Dalton displayed in “Mouth of the Snake” was toned down to a simpler, more violent, fighting style.

I didn't know that this show was a spin off of Knight Rider. Yet David Dalton was in the one episode of Knight Rider.
@KalOrtPor
@KalOrtPor 3 жыл бұрын
The connection was more properly a backdoor pilot than spin-off, although technically both, as they just picked a script to feature on Knight Rider in the hopes of launching a new series from the start vs. fashioning existing canon into its own series based on positive audience feedback and popularity.

It's very common for scripts to be re-cylced or outright reused. A lot of the 80's shows even reused the same script in the same week with different shows. Like.... Knight Rider would first use the original script and then it would be edited and proofed for Dukes Of Hazard, 6 MDM, or even Battlestar Galactica. They would just change minor details such as names and places and basically redress the story using different characters. If you watched enough 80's TV as I did, it became blatantly obvious at times.
