That NES Version of Street Fighter 2 shown in that magazine is a bootleg port from Hummer Team.

Hmmm, that NES screenshot is interesting. The stage looks like Sagat's stage, but the actual character looks more like it might be Adon.

This was great. One reason in particular is that it reminds me of the early days of KZbin where videos were bite-sized and got to the point very quickly without being obnoxious and "in-your-face" like a TikTok. Looking forward to more content.

That's definitely Adon in that SF1 NES screenshot. I'm assuming him and Sagat were meant to share a stage due to space limitations.
@The1SunshineFeeler7 күн бұрын
@@casualslax Yeah, I assumed it was Sagat because his eyes looked like an eyepatch, but now I see the character clearly has Adon’s hair.

@The1SunshineFeeler Oh yeah, I can see how that could be interpreted as an eye patch. Maybe he was an amalgamation....Sadon 😂

I have an idea you could discuss after November: the turbo grafx 16 version of Tim Burton’s Batman, or even the NES version. There’s some interesting changes made from the beta to the final version in the latter, and the former was almost an entirely different game.

I would love to, but I have 4 videos planned for December already and a big multiple hour long one in January. But hopefully once my schedule is cleared, I can make a video on it!

Oh yeah, I vaguely remember having read somewhere that Capcom didn't even make the SF1 and Black Tiger ports themselves, they instead subcontracted both to some Western developer. Keeping that in mind, as well as looking at the screenshots... Yeah, as much as I love unreleased retro games, not much of value was lost when it comes to these two. The SF2 port, if it was ever actually planned, probably wouldn't have turned out great either. In the best case scenario it would've been about on par with the Gameboy version, although that one wasn't made by Capcom with.

There is a bootleg that is kind of a Street Fighter 1 for NES. Fighting Hero. I actually really love Street Fighter ++, a hack of Street Fighter 1 that lets you play as all characters, somehow, they all feel 10x better to play than Ryu and Ken (except Geki, he's useless.). What kills Vanilla SF1 for us is the fact that Ryu has 100% invincible dragon punch in all frames in the standard version, the deluxe version with pressure buttons he isn't though, but even then Ryu and Ken just feel terrible to play with, but even then SF++ is very cryptic and weird, it's almost impossible to get into it without getting into the Discord server of it.

The original game on the NES would be lamer than Double Dragon 1 on the NES. What Capcom should've done: Port both *Street Fighter* and *Street Fighter II: The World Warrior* as 2-in-1 bundle cartridges for both the SNES and Genesis, and call it "Street Fighter I + II".
