It's probably because the town isn't as you imagine it to be. Google maps is probably the best way to see it.

Superb video. How long would you say, that it takes, there and back from the car park to the summit please?
@Insolation12 жыл бұрын
On any of these hills plan for the day. I've done them all, I usually arrived around 10/11ish and I'm up and back down in an around 4 to 5 hours. I've also put my fell running shoes and did it under 2 hours. I've done the Ben Nevis hill race in 2.25, coming back down is the hard bit, not going up, that's easy.
@dannyhegarty69472 жыл бұрын
@@Insolation1 thanks for the reply. Me and my girlfriend stop to take photos at every opportunity so I think we will add a few hours onto your guidelines 🙂

That was beautiful! I want your video-making skills. Why is it called The Lost Valley? A second visit to the highlands is long overdue. Cheers, Mari
@ScottishMountainGoat5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mari! Well it has a couple of names including the hidden valley. I've heard the story with that is the MacDonald clan used to hide their cattle up here from the Campbell clan. I can see why! I wouldn't expect to see a cow up there! 😆 Thanks for watching! Kris.
@FunsizedEarthling5 жыл бұрын
Scottish Mountain Goat yeah, the drone footage made you all look so tiny up on that ridge. Fascinating.. thanks for the info! I’ve just added it to my list. 🤓 Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Cheers, Mari

How hard or easy is the walk? I have hiked since I did Ben A’an in July 2021
@ScottishMountainGoat Жыл бұрын
I'd say it's a pretty easy one to do in a few hours in summer. Might be a bit riskier in winter with avalanche risk from the surrounding mountains though.
@OldSchoolMetalVinyl4 жыл бұрын
Awesome video. How much time does it take to walk from the bottom of the valley to the viewpoint displayed from 3:13 ?
@ScottishMountainGoat4 жыл бұрын
Cheers! I reckon i'd give myself about 3 to 3.5 hours going at a leisurely pace. That point is only about 15 minutes walk from the summit Stob Coire Sgreamhach. It's a brilliant walk all the way though!
@OldSchoolMetalVinyl4 жыл бұрын
@@ScottishMountainGoat thank you so much for the kindest reply. I have one more question, would you recommend the regular hike to the Lost Valley if it's raining? I'll be visiting Scotland in two weeks and it's raining season in the highlands. Is it still doable?
@ScottishMountainGoat4 жыл бұрын
@@OldSchoolMetalVinyl No problem. Yeah it's still doable in the rain but there is a small river crossing. On a dry day you can use the stepping stones across it but you might get wet feet on a rainy day if the river is high
