@michaelclark2458 Yep. Their deeds. Not them. We still need to remember Jesus received sinners, and there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 which need no repentance (see Luke 15). Also, we too, were once children of wrath like everyone else (Ephesians 2). There is a huge problem with effeminate men in the pastorate, but that doesn't justify sinning in the opposite direction. And the argument "That's not what we need right now!" doesn't hold water, because God's commands always apply.

Love this episode! It took me years of having babies and sitting under a faithful husband to agree with your words. I was indoctrinated heavily into feminism in public school and liberal arts college. Unfortunately, my dad was not a believer, so there was no spiritual protection for me. You are right, women do not know the joy they are missing by focusing on career and not having babies. I am 40 and pregnant with my 8th and know with sadness that my time for having babies will be over soon. I am also a massage therapist and 75 percent of my female clients are on anti depressants, so many reasons for this. I hope the younger generations will have husbands, stay married, and have babies and avoid the pharms.

This is a Darwinist anti-Christian worldview. The best thing to do is not get married instead of blindly following the paths of the world. This is what the original Christians advised. Yet we now make marriage and "the family" the ultimate goal, even higher than God himself!

David says that he hated with a perfect hate in Psalm 139. Jesus says, “Love your enemies.” He does not say, “Do not hate your enemies.” If we look at David in the Psalms (the very same psalms Ephesians and Colossians command we sing) he says that he hates his enemies, but rather than striking them down himself (remember Saul in the cave and in the camp) he prays for God to strike them down while David himself provides them mercy. He left vengeance to God, which means he asked God, who is just, to act justly against them. That’s perfect hatred, to provide mercy and trust God to destroy the wicked.

Chesterton said, "The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him." That's not entirely true. It's both. And that's okay. If you do not viscerally abhor the things that threaten your family, your nation, and your faith, you do not know what it is to love.

At 46:20, when Isker was talking about women having the gift of being shrewd (both for holy and unholy means), I totally agree.. I actually have a term I use to describe just that.. The term is “femmecraft”.. We women really do have a God-given gift for being smart and shrewd when we want to be. The hope and aim is to use our femmecraft for good and for the glory of God and not for evil. I pray that just as Jesus was smart and shrewd when the Pharisees tried to question Him and catch Him saying something they could accuse him of, we holy women, would also be smart and shrewd for good and holy purposes 💗 Loved this episode! Am I EVER to correct or speak to ANYONE in leadership about this?? The men? The women?? I’m not a man.. and not a man in the congregation will do it. What is my role in helping the church? I feel like protesting and rebuking them. I feel like protesting and rebuking every church in my area. I’m mad. Idk how to go about it. I want the church to wake up. I want them to do well. I don’t want them or their children to continue putting their souls and lives in jeopardy. I will admit I struggle with being a rebellious feminist myself. I grew up tomboy for part of my life and sensual another part and rebellious towards my parents. I am trying to trust God and submit to my husband and embrace my drudgery and love it. I like the banter, I think it's mostly on point. As far as, am I as a woman not built to "handle" something like the guy in middle talking about how fragile his wife is, I definitely can't relate to that at all. I am not that emotionally unstable, and maybe I was a psychopath when 9/11 hit I was unsaved and I was completely detached from that, it didn't really affect me emotionally. So maybe I am built different than most woman or maybe I don't fall into this extreme narrative that's being presented. I think it's a bit exaggerated.

I agree. I think women express their emotions more because of how our brains work, but I don't think we are incapable of critical thinking and logical decision making. If it wasn't for me fighting against my husband, our kids would be in public school and I would be working outside the home 🤷‍♀️. Likewise, if I was just emotional without the ability to make logical decisions, our kids would be in public school. Homeschooling challenges my emotions on the daily and there are times I don't want to keep going, but I know my duty as a mom is to teach my kids and protect them while their brains are developing. I think they could have done better in this part of the video 🤷‍♀️.

Read the Psalms. We are commanded to sing them in Colossians and Ephesians. The Psalms speak of a “perfect hatred.” It means not to seek out vengeance yourself, but to leave it to God. The Psalms are filled with faith that God will crush the wicked. He is just and vengeful. Pray for them to be humbled and turn to Christ. But if they won’t, trust that God is not a wicked judge who will let them go. Proverbs 24:17-18 also shows that when vengeance does come upon them, bring them mercy.

Try me and know my thoughts! 24 And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!" Wife, Mom, keeper at home here to say thank you for declaring what virtually all leaders for decades have been unwilling to say about the woman’s being the weaker vessel and created specifically to help the man. You’re right, the truth of God’s word, so evident in Creation, declares that women were not made to “thrive” in a man’s world. In light of this, how would you reconcile Bryan Hensley’s wife assuming the position of Director of your Christian Classical school? Especially considering the example given by Pastor Isker of his High School principal - a woman unable to lead the students and staff during the shock and horror of 9/11? Is this role fitting for a woman?

@mrs.ingham
@mrs.ingham 7 ай бұрын
@@crystalvulpine2314 Hopefully I’m understanding your question right. If by “this” you mean reconciling the clear distinctions and roles of men and women with those texts… This is kind of long but I hope it’s helpful: First, all Scripture concerning men and women can be understood through Creation, the foundation of everything: order, hierarchy, the family, what is good and what is not, our different duties according to the very distinct natures of men and women. Everything in Scripture concerning men and women is predicated upon Creation and no verse or narrative will contradict what has been understood from the beginning. As for the 3 passages… Matthew 22:30 - All uses of the word “resurrection” in the New Testament concern eternal life after death and Jesus Himself being the resurrection and the life, whom we will worship and whose presence we will enjoy forever. In saying “they neither marry nor are given in marriage,” He is simply answering their question in verse 28, “whose wife will she be?” Those who die in Christ will indeed be like the angels who do not marry or procreate, and so in heaven she won’t be the wife of either brother. But this did not nullify the duty of the dead man’s brother according to Deuteronomy 25:5. In the same way, what we will be after death in no way nullifies God’s purposes for us in this life and for Creation: His command to men and women to be fruitful and multiply and subdue the earth; the reality of headship and submission; the duty of the woman to her husband and children in the home. (Genesis 2:18, 1 Corinthians 11:9, Titus 2:4-5, 1 Timothy 5:9-14) Similarly, in Galatians 3:28, by saying “neither male nor female,” Paul is not doing away with the natural distinctions and roles of men and women. The entire context is about salvation and the continual contrast between the Old Covenant of works that one is born into (Israel) and the New Covenant of grace through faith in Christ into which people are born of the Spirit from every nation. In verse 28, Paul is only stating that God makes no distinction of who will inherit eternal life, that salvation has now come to Gentiles as well as Jews and that women as well as men have become heirs of the grace of life. (1 Peter 3:7) And yet God’s salvation does not do away with the natural distinctions. New life in Christ neither overturns the created order nor our clearly prescribed work as men and women according to God’s word. Lastly, 1 Corinthians 7: This text is often used to promote singleness, but the historical context of this passage is dire persecution of the saints, especially by unbelieving Jews which preceded God’s judgment against Old Covenant breaking Israel in 70AD by the Roman army. In 1 Corinthians 7, Paul writes of a “present distress,” the great distress of that generation. In Matthew 24, Jesus warns of the tribulation that would come upon that generation, a kind which the world would never see again. In light of this, Paul tells the saints in Corinth that it is better to remain in the state in which they were called, whether married, unmarried, widowed or married to an unbeliever. (And he has his concessions and commands for each group.) Regarding unmarried Christians, Paul simply wants to spare them from “worldly concerns” (being concerned with one’s husband or wife) in view of the “present distress.” Paul is not saying universally and for all time that being unmarried is better for Christians. He is only advising people to remain as they are during the great tribulation of that generation. Also, regarding singleness, it’s important to note: 1) Paul says that even considering the distress in his day, if a man burns with passion, he must marry. (1 Cor. 7:9) 2) A woman’s remaining single in this context does not mean she is not under any protection or authority. If she is young, verses 36-38 indicate that she is still in her father’s house. If she is an older widow, Paul in 1 Timothy 5 commands that she be cared for by her family (her son or son-in-law being the head of that home). If she is widowed young, she is commanded to marry again. Scripture interprets Scripture. 1 Corinthians 7 was never meant to encourage singleness in general, especially among women. The Bible in its entirety assumes the protection and provision of women. There’s so much more Scripture that could be mentioned particularly about women, but I hope this at least was helpful.

It landed more on the evils of Feminism and the differences between men and women rather than the main subject. All part of the greater topic, yes, but still trying to discern the differences of Psalm 139 vs Jesus on hatred in Matthew…etc.

You are biblically ignorant. Know you not that Amos 5:15 says: Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph. And that Proverbs 8:3 says: The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. And again Psalm 97:10 says: Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Go home and read your King James Authorised Bible.

@@sjurdurkjv I suspect these verses are using a bit of hyperbole (exaggeration). Just as there was no need to hate the old-fashioned ice box in order to replace it with the modern refrigerator, there is no need to hate sin in order to stand for truth and love. When you engage in hatred for any reason, you are inevitably going to get burned.
@nerychristian

Lol. If you only understood how evil and destructive sin is, you would hate and abhor it. Comparing sin to an old refrigerator? Really? Sin is so evil and repugnant that it required that the Lamb of God shed his blood in order to wipe away sins. Sin is so evil that it will lead most people to an eternity of torment in hell. If you don't hate sin, then you don't truly know God. If you had a son, and he died in his sins, and was now suffering in hell, you would hate whatever sin lead him there.

I agree with most of this, but I think you could have done better when it comes to the nature of women. Women are able to express our emotions better, but we also have critical thinking skills that allow us to act on logic and not just our emotions. If the world is a better place being run by men, and men were the ones who always had control, then who let it get to where it is now? Thank God He can redeem a broken system and allow women the ability to stand up when men aren't willing to. Most of the time, you see women standing up in schoolboards and fighting. Women are often seen fighting against abortion as well. If I had no idea what was going on in the world around me, I would be sending my kids to public school and going back to work outside the home. I had to go against the desires of my husband and homeschool our kids when he wanted them to go to public school so they could play football and have the life he had. I do think it is ideal for men to lead, but when they don't, I'm thankful God can work through women and has allowed us the ability to step up within our broken system.
