You know what's the best part of this Allosaurus? In every single moment it is featured, it NEVER pronates its hands. NOT ONCE. NON PRONATED HANDS IN 2001. This movie is seriously underrated.

Wwd 1999 had a different model of allosaurus in ep2 and 5, from even the big al special. The head shape and slight texture change here was done so that it wasn’t seen to be straight up copying wwd. Same issue with diplodocus, apatosaurus, entelodont, iguanodon, leallynasaura

If there is something that I like about this movie, it is that at least humans can defend themselves against the threat of two allosaurs and manage to defeat them, something that the survivors of Jurassic Park cannot do having an arsenal of weapons. The best scene for me is when at minute (1:00) the Allosaurus enters as the predator that is about to hunt its prey once it enters the camp, however what they did not count is that the tribe and the explorers did not They were easy prey like an iguanodon, diplodocu or even a baby Brachiosaurus, ect. He met another intelligent predator who also knew how to hunt and possessed combat tactics that could counter the brutal attacks that the allosaurus could make during his hunt. At minute 1:25 we are expectant to see how the Allosauru begins to feel much more restless and confused to the point that he feels cornered once the battle begins to intensify, turning from predator to prey, added to the fact that he received great damage in his body provoked by the spears and firearms that the humans had at their disposal. The dinosaur gradually begins to weaken until it finally falls to the ground once it receives a bullet from one of the explorers, being defeated by a species that possesses intelligence that surpassed it as a group, while at minute 1:33 The second Allosaur arrives and enters the lion's den to be neutralized along with his other companion, where he will have the same fate of dying before the humans. It was literally a battle of predators.

I love that the final two Allosaurs look different. One is larger and darker, it stalks its prey and attacks when the time is right. The smaller one is lighter in color and fast, running directly in and attacking anything that moves. I always assumed the darker one is a female and the lighter one is a male. The fact that they put sexual dimorphism and gendered hunting characteristics into a movie in 2001 says a lot. It breaks my heart that this movie is so under rated and under appreciated.

subtle differences between each allosaur- bright green one with fawn stripes and underside contrasted dramatically with the blood red eye sockets and crests- is a couple of metres smaller in height and length than the browner dark olive one with pale stripes and underside. they seem different in behaviour too, the brighter coloured ones being more into running and chasing people down while the big duller coloured one is happy continuing a steady walking pace to pursue, explore and interrogate its surroundings, wait to let the younger one do the hard work then come in later to enjoy their kills- only this time it walked into its smaller partner having been killed by gunshots.
