What you are doing for Makay is impressive. It's right I think I heard that a bit more than 200,000 Hectares of forest is being destroyed yearly in Madagascar, these trees are being cut down to either make coal for the local population to cook ,plant crops like Maize that they sell to beer factories and its not even the locals that do it.There is also a big business of precious wood for the Asian market and the Government does nothing.Of course they vote laws but not of them is being fully implemented as its one of the most corrupted countries in the world.I have lived two years in Madagascar when I was in my twenties between 1992 and 1995 and this country has taught me so much and today I feel hurt to see that the living conditions there has become worst. If this country is save one day ,it will be thanks to associations and NGO's like yours.Nothing is to be expected from any government there.I just want to be proved wrong that one day there will be effectively a caring genuine govt focussed on changing things but I'm afraid that this wont happen soon.Thank you for your job in Makay.
