Def the issues were there before Doria. In her book, Samantha claims her mom was really abusive, and it sounded like Thomas left for Cali and abandoned Tom and Samantha with their mom and didn't have contact with them for years. I know people have brought things to light about their sketchiness, and they’ve been caught in so many lies. It’s this that family’s moral aptitude? I remember hearing that Doria worked at a job where she also sold lottery tickets. Doria either stole tickets or did something illegal to print tickets, etc. Doria had the winning ticket or tickets, but she roped Thomas into collecting the winnings. Thomas had his reward money for cashing the tickets and gave Doria back her money. He also invested in a business to help Doria out after she blew her money. .. Doria was supposed to run the business. Doria never paid taxes on the business. Doria then had another business started up and likewise, did not pay any taxes. When the IRS came a calling, Doria blamed Thomas for not paying taxes. Eventually, Thomas was cleared of all charges and Doria was found guilty. At this time, Doria was sent to prisin for tax evasion. Your time-line is off on Doria. Doria was arrested and put in prison for many years for dealing and using crack when Meghan was a kid. That is why Thomas raised her alone. After Doria got out of prison, then the lottery episode came about as above, following by the tax evasion and more prison time a few years later. Doria lied to Meghan and blamed Thomas for 100% of everything. For some reason, Thomas still covers for Doria, like he has covered for Meghan. I assume that Doria is to Thomas as Meghan is to Harry! Both men have been used and taken in by two cult following, money sucking grifters.
