Biel Sabas What comes to mind now, is an interview he did w/ Chris Hardwick at the Paley center in 2011 and in the Q&A part a lady asks about him breaking during SNL and he tells this thing about Will trying to break him in these sketches...there were on YT both a full vid & just this question vid (b/c they answered hilariously, Jimmy faked upset for the question :)... but I don't seem to find them now :(

There should be a sketch hall of fame and this one should be the first hall of fame sketch. This is so good, pure gold.

What I love about this sketch is that it takes a sudden twist at the very end as one of the best but most unexpected endings to a SNL skit of all time

The prestigious Welshley Arms Hotel... that never stops being funny. Someone could make a mint opening a hotel down in Myrtle Beach and giving it that name... known for their hot tubs and post coital omelettes made by the skilled hand of a 4-star chef. Also, when Farrell says "somewhere in the distance, we heard the pounding of native drums" I can never watch that without laughing. It just doesn't stop being hilarious

This was the best SNL cast of all times IMO. Will Ferrell, Tracy Morgan, Darrell Hammond, Jim Breuer, Maya Rudolph, Norm Macdonald, Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, Colin Quinn, Cheri Oteri and some others who came part of the crew afterwards like Horatio Sanz, Jimmy Falon, Fred Armisen, Will Forte, Andy Samberg and Bill Hader

A lot of those people never overlapped into one cast. Will left in 2001, which was probably the best year because it was Tina, Jimmy, Amy, Maya, Horatio, Kattan, Rachel, etc..
@andrewburkhill94310 жыл бұрын
Yeah right(!) - the Hartman-Myers-Carvey-Farley-Spade-Sandler-Schneider years were a billion times funnier. You must just have a hell of a short attention span and memory.
@TheChichola10 жыл бұрын
Andrew Burkhill No, I don't. The thing is Carvey and Schneider are not funny at all IMO. Sandler were kinda stupid in that time, I love him now BTW. And Farley was geniuos, he made part of Kattan, Breuer, Shanon and the rest. People who really know about SNL history agree that period with those who you mention was pathetic. A simple and bland humor, so don't get the smartypants with me
