ElderlyMender26 not even, a lot of normal people build doll houses, it’s the same thing as someone who paints or sculpts. It just gets a bad representation because of HollyWood, but it’s perfectly normal and is definitely even more normal since this movie takes place in the 70’s when there wasn’t as much to do. The thing where HollyWood always screws up is when the Detectives look around, they weren’t focusing as much as they would in real life. They would’ve been looking for things that they commonly saw on photos of the girl, if this was a real scenario they would have noticed that bracelet instantly and put him under arrest for suspicion of murder and then they would have searched his house and found her body. Then HollyWood even screwed the ending up, maybe the ending was good that way in the book, but in a HollyWood movie it should’ve been more of a closure ending.
