Here is The Lovers' Waltz (also sometimes called The Lover's Waltz). This is a fantastic waltz written by Jay Ungar and Molly Mason. The song transcends genera and can be heard everywhere from weddings to dances to campfires all across America. Similar to Ashokan Farewell, also written by Jay and Molly, the melody to this song is simple, and yet haunting, a hallmark of a good waltz. It's a great tune to start on if you're a beginner player. This is totally beautiful playing....Just started to play fiddle at the age of 66 years...lol...I do play guitar but this is so out of bounds regards to finger picking and bowing.....wow.....Listening to you teach has got me so loving the fiddle that after one week I find myself playing the basic melodies with difficulty but most pleasurable....Thank you sir for the great instruction......John...

I remember that too! That recording got me into fiddle music to a much greater extent and led me to explore more. I listened to it a lot and had it saved in my favorites until it was gone. He was wearing a baseball cap and sweatshirt and playing like he had his true love in mind. It reminded me of a line from a John Denver song;" I'd fiddle all night and all day if I could, but the Lord and my wife wouldn't take it very good, so I fiddle when I can and work when I should." Thank you Casey , for following your muse and sharinf your gift wiht usall. Its a blessing!

Lovely exept for some chords that interrupt the melody flow namely leaving the A minor and D out and staying on the G, please stick to J ungers chords because they are beautiful,.apart from that this is really nice.
