Need two more John shows ! I think he is a super intellect with quirks but just facinating guy!I dont agree with pot at all maybe his bandmate got enlightened too ! John took it as prick job but not so!! But we all are nuts and blind many times in life!! Lets hear more I love his insights / outsight cause i dont always agree his preceptions but I tend to think genius guy!!

John Sebastian's father and mine knew each other. I'm not sure if they worked together or were friends. Both musicians, both long gone now.

I assumed the drug bust was a big reason the Spoonful broke up, which is the reason he gives here. I think, like it or not, the bust hurt the marketability of not only the band, but of John Sebastian just by association. He makes great pains to separate himself from the bust and the finger pointing even all these years later, which I don’t blame him. To save his career, he had to split. Plus, Zal was a big part of the band and I think it hurt them when they let him go. One of the great American bands for sure.
