Ah, yes, the dupe luck. Got this recently. I had schoolbag, crooked penny, glowing hourglass, sharp plug, ipecac and pyromaniac. Every chance I had, I duped items until everything disappeared, then used glowing hourglass to rewind and get the max amount of dupes I could (in my experience, the amount of dupes seem to be fixed per room, so it's probably seed-dependent). This was insane, and I physically and mentally abused the angel and secret room pools. My next run started with 16 items thanks to a particularly lucky eden's blessing quad dupe. And now you're telling me that I need to unlock damocles just so I can abuse this even more, next time ?

all of jacob and esau unlocks are OP as hell. Damocles red stew, stairway, rock bottom, birthright, and if you get duality too you're not locked out of angles which makes damocles plus glowing hourglass so so op

Pro tip: use crooked penny while picking item in first 4 frames, if it wont work, youll save the item, if it did(do on alt paths) youll receive a blind item without blind curse

I marked down every time there was a successful dupe, and a non successful dupe. From what I could see at the time skip around 13:10 there were only two dupes, and no failures. I counted 28 dupes and 15 failures throughout the video. I may be wrong by one or two, but I feel like there may have been some mod used to increase the chance of crooked penny paying out. I feel like having a range of 13 is a little to much to be random, seems like a mod may have increased the chance by 40%-50%. Sorry for ruining the fun I was just bored.

Sometimes people are just that lucky. Fortunately crooked penny dupes are seed based so this should be reproducable at home if you want to check the validity of the run

crooked penny isn't programmed to win exactly 50% of its dupes... it's more like a coin flip im bad at math but (too lazy to check myself so I'll assume 43 coin flips cuz 28+15) on average, you'd win 21.5 out of 43 coin flips... so winning 28 would be lucky but nothing out of the ordinary (and as the other person said you can literally just check the seed lol)

Successive Crooked Penny is ruled by the equation : 1/(2^x), where x is the number of use. (^ means pow). So for 10 uses it's 1/2^10 so 1/1024 which is equal to approximately 0.098%.

So if im mathing right every crooked penny spawns 1 extra damocles weapon for each dupe item so if you get 1 item and another from damocles then dupe them with penny you will get dupes of those items PLUS 2 extra damocles items because 2 'new' items spawned and this will keep stacking and stacking So from 2 items 1 dupe will make 6 then 6 will make 16 i think if my maths right and i cba to go any further mental maths is hard ok
