Lucky Dime Caper carries Sega's penchant for vibrant, family-friendly Disney titles. I imagine many kids loved this way back, and it still holds up surprisingly well today.

I doubt it, since many kids probably preferred Game Boy.

Jeremy Riley Yeah, but I was referring to those that would have played this

Just got through stage 4, this games is super tough for me, spent 2 hrs on it so far, it will feel nice to finish this one if possible. I'm so glad videos like yours exist otherwise it would have taken 4 hours lol

"Donald Duck" makes a great protagonist in a action/platformer game!! Love how his in-game dialog and animations matches his very frank, tough, "down to earth" personality!! He sometimes might be a jerk, but it's hard NOT to Love the guy!!^w^ also I could be wrong but, I think "Donald" might have a bigger fan base than his rival "Mickey".. .. ..especially in some countries like "Scandinavia"!!.. .. ..but what do I know?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't ever try and tell me the NES was better than the Master System. The NES has a bigger library of games but the 8 bit graphics of the Master System are great

+MikeyTheMachineGaming Plus, for every game like Mario, Zelda, Contra, Castlevania, Metroid, and Mega Man, there was an LJN game.

Speaking of Disney games, there's one on SFC I vaguely remember playing a couple of years back, with Mickey making balloons in it... Mickey no Tokyo Disneyland - that one was pretty fun, though it's not exactly the most well-known Disney game out there, as it only came out in Japan. There was also a Donald Duck game like that... I guess Disney must've been pretty popular in Japan as well. :)

+Marius Amber I played the Disneyland game, it was pretty good. Disney, and especially Mickey, is huge there. There are 2 Disney parks in Tokyo alone, with Disneyland and Disney Sea

Looks like Magica de Spell went all Dr Wily at the end. Why wasn't Unca Scrooge playable? I can't see him not coming along. After all, he'd be putting his trust into Donald and Scrooge would never leave it up to him.

Most likely cause Duck Tales was only on Nintendo Systems...that and maybe Scrooge was just lazy this time around.

Stages 4 and 5 were just nasty.

Hm, this is running at 60fps speed despite not being released in the US or Japan. I think that's the speed for the Brazilian Master System version (afaik, their PAL just applies to the color system), so I guess it's ethical to just run the European release in 60fps. This also more or less matches the speed of the Game Gear version, which plays very similarly, so the game was never designed or adjusted for 50fps with the European SMS release.

Just about all of the Disney SMS games were gems, however in my opinion this one is the best
