Their first catch of gold got them $848. At today's prices for gold per ounce, they would have gotten $107,590. Their second catch, they got $2335. Today that would have been $296,380. Not bad hauls.....

Fun movie John Wayne and Gabby Hayes and always Yakima Canutt great bunch and gold was 16 dollars an ounce I wish I was born earlier 😂😂🤣🤣👍👍

This is my FAVORITE John Wayne movie; I get to see 'The Duke' ride a stick-horse, and watch world-class rodeo star, Yakima Canutt wrangle an ornery, bucking burro. I doesn't get better'n this!

This is one of my favorite John Wayne and Gabby Hayes movies. So much action and it moves so quickly. I didn't remember Gabby Hayes when I was a kid, I kind of remember him but I'm not real clearly because I was so young in the early 60s watching reruns I'm sure. I didn't realize John Wayne had made movies when he was so young until about 30 years ago.
