I love this episode, so funny and so sweet and tender in the same time... like Dean Martin himself !

Dean Martin was oh so good-looking but it didn't affect his personality or his approach to people. He was a genuine, down-to-earth, sincere person with one hell of a voice.

Daisy Cassidy The thing with Dean is that he was always self-effacing and never took himself very seriously. He never forgot where he came from, and just how lucky he had been; “Who’d have thunk it, for a boy from Steubenville?”

" I would have gone out with you anyway," This is one of my all time favorite Lucy Show episodes. Some of the lines in it I could still recall 40 years later. Dean was truly one of a kind. Reminds me a lot of my Uncle Eddie.

I can't got over the way Lucy swiped her red coat over Mr. Moony's face as she walked passed him 😂

Dean Martin surpassed Jerry Lewis when it came to style and talent. What a loss when he died.

It is always a pleasant to watch Dean Martin on any stages. Together with Lucille Ball in this episode is so much fun and laughter. Such a delightful, charming personality. His music is sunshine.

Lucy was so gorgeous here - in the classic era she was an unsurpassed beauty with as much style and glamour as any "A movie" queen. Had she gotten the right breaks there might never have been I Love Lucy.

No crude sex jokes. No stupid set ups to put down lines. No base crap that you see on every situation comedy show now - because the writers cannot come up with anything close to the wit and grace of this. Not only were Dean Martin and Lucille Ball brilliant talents, they were fine actors, who knew how to perform, how to time a line, how to be human and graceful within the comedy itself. They are having fun AND being real with each other. This is what you don't see anymore in these stupid, awful, inhuman shows we have now - where everyone is "hip" and knows how to put down the other character. Each of these shows were almost small romantic comedy movies themselves. This is all gone now. Now it's all lowest common denominator. At least we've got these treasures - and the greatness of Dean and Lucille forever. How great would have they have been in a regular series together?

At this time, super talents were awed by the masses. Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minelli. Now people were fed to be 'awed' by the talentless Kardashians.

@0.25 “A cup of hot chocolate!” Dean makes a joke of it but ironically, years later during his brief marriage to Catherine Hawn, that’s how he used to end his Roasts; “That’s the end of our show tonight. I’m coming home Catherine, put on the hot chocolate.”
