The only comedian in the world who did not have to say a word to kill the audience , walking on the stage was enough then you hear the roar of laughter , amazing .
@charliechristmas51473 жыл бұрын
As much as I am a great admirer of Foster Brooks, your statement is not quite true. Another comedian, Tommy Cooper, could also walk on stage, not say a word and still have the crowd in fits of laughter...too. Foster Brooks, however, had a unique talent of wordplay as a drunk, coupled with mannerisms and glances that was so, so funny, that even the great Don Rickles would laugh out loud. Now THAT is a special talent when you can reduce other ‘roasters’ to tears.

I always thought Dean should have introduced Foster as the man who invented Vitameatavegamin. That would have really had them rolling on the floor..lol

Can you imagine Foster even TRYING to say Vitameatavegamin? The hotel would have collapsed!!

Hilarious comedy at its best. The present day comics don’t hold a candle to those of that era. Polished, professional & perfect timing. I feel SO lucky to have been brought up in those years. I miss those days. It’s just not the same anymore.
