It was realy the same storry with all the armed forces of Germany during WWII: They started out with relatively good gear, then development was stopped and was only restarted when the tide turned. Luckely :)

1. You might have noticed the word 'relatively' - Although not top of the line, at the outset of the war, German tanks where certainly less outdated than the opposing forces. 2. Development might not have literally stopped, but from 39 until 42-43 it was certainly not put on priority. 3. Germany DID have mass production (at least after the declaration of "Total War", but with no truly safe production facilities, that becomes a relative term.

my dad said it was the brits that thought of the jet engine concept , but it was the germans that made it work.

Germany started with Light out dated tanks which were poorly built However the were quick and eazy to make .. read about blitz krieg and what was used Afterwards The tiger and panzer were made they took many resources and took more time to make and that was called development the 109 the 190 and the me 262 poor better best however as the poor got better it took longer to make and by then ALL aillies were mass production in numbers Germany wasn't. Your statement is wrong

When you have a airforce dive bombing a country you haven't even declaired war on making way for light german tanks with pilots that were already aces from the spainsh war (1936) The start of the Air war won the battle Only followed by the Armored Div and troops to hold the ground and clean up Germany was no where near the mass production of the USA for every 1 tiger tank 5 sherman tanks were made. and 3 T-34 russian tanks The battle of Britian turned Air war from defence to offence
