I don't know. For $1475 you can get a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon with 4 material filament changer. I guess you have to decide if open source is really worth the difference.

I got a lulz bot taz 5 (june.2015) . I don't know what a clog nozzle is, little to no maintenance, and I still use it till this day. A lulzbot is a buy once cry once printer. The rest are buy cheap upgrade all there flaws and cry when you have to replace it.

Nice new machines from Lulzbot! I'll be sure to get configurations prepared so these can be upgraded to Marlin 2.1.2 with input shaping, which can considerably improve print quality and reduce print times.

That would be very cool

Great review Richard. One question... Are the prices you mention Canadian or USD?
@TheFirstLayer Жыл бұрын
USD.

My only concern is the durability for the BL touch might not be as much as a Lulzbot mini or taz

I also saw it acecpts a USB C for your laptop
@TheFirstLayer Жыл бұрын
Any USB cable would work as long as you have a USB B (male) connector on one end to attach to the printer.

Seems like a printer and a price point from 2016. If you care so much about open source, get a sovol sv06 for a fraction or an ender 5 plus, still less than half the price. I'd frankly just gor for bambu x1c since I honestly could care less about doing upgrades or that it's open source or not and rather use the machine.
@TheFirstLayer Жыл бұрын
That is fair. I like the printer and see value in it.

I bought one of these and its garbage, worst money I‘ve ever spent. The warranty means nothing and it is a money pit. Im going to drive over it with my truck just for spite when we order a different brand.
