Sir Randall is a down to earth great person that devoted his life and time to the sport of bass fishing and the deep concern for conservation of protecting mother earth for the future generations , Salute

Received some by mail. Heard some noise coming from inside the box. Carefully opened the mailbox. Three bass were fighting over it.

There's an island around the bend from Hideaway Resort. When they pull water the fishing there is incredible. At sunrise the topwater bite between the island and bluffs rocks!

I've found that heavy boat traffic increases my catches. Assume it's the boat wakes stirring up the shoreline and shaking loose bait for the bass or the noise masking my presence.

Will give these a try on Lake Erie, water viz is generally 5-10 ft on most days. At $9 a pop I will be pi$$ed when I snag one however! They look like gobies which everything feeds on in Lake Erie so I'm relatively confident they'll work well.

So you need to find the perfect water clarity, perfect bottom structure and contor, have a boat and fish it with this technique?
@pinballjunky71174 ай бұрын
I purchased one of the Dark Sleeper HAZE color. It will catch fish. Then the damn bass ate the tail off. 😅So I found some more. Off to.the lake.

Hi Randy enjoy the channel I live in the northeast upstate New York. I fish lake George ny a lot. I have had success caught my biggest bass there. If you know it LG is a gin clear lake. 20 ft vis maybe more. Have you ever fished it. Any suggestions. I have good luck wacky rig and drop shot some neg rigging. I do well in late spring but as the the August comes I really struggle. Just wonder if you fished it and could just through a few tips my way. I’m also close the finger lakes so techniques might be adaptable Thanks John.

For some reason I catch more on the savage gear structure gill. It's crazy cause they're very similar baits, may just be a Tennessee thing. Lol. Plus is they're only 6.00. Lol

The lure in the thumbnail looks like my soft plastics usually end up. That retrieve you described is basically how we catch saltwater fish with jigs, with smaller or larger hops and varying the speed. I wish I could try the Dark Sleeper for flounder and redfish but it's too expensive and it would be chewed up in no time, possibly on the first cast. It's a good looking lure but lots of our fish have teeth. Anybody know where I could catch my first smallmouth bass near Hampton VA? I grew up in Florida and have never seen one in person and I kinda want to catch at least one. I have a kayak and the stuff but I don't know where to go.

Lots of largemouth up the chikqhomony up Williamsburg. You gotta get up into some of the mountain reservoirs or into southern Pa and western Maryland.
@comfortablynumb93425 ай бұрын
@@smelltheglove2038 okay thank you. I appreciate it. I work in Williamsburg a lot. It's close enough to go and fish and get back in a day so I'll look into it. I fish a lot but in the saltwater. I kayak under the HRBT and in the marshes around Hampton and Poquoson. Usually I toss jigs for flounder and redfish, and I catch trout and stuff. Mostly I try to catch flounder. In July I released about 60 and only got 2 keepers. It's been frustrating. I like the idea of trying for a smally. Gotta get a license but that's easy enough.

Run an hour up 64 to Richmond and fish above the fall-line, probably the closest smallmouth

I see a lot about bass. Do you fish for anything else? Not a whole lot on U.S northern pike fishing. I live in an area with pike and trout. Do you fish for those and if so..how about some info on those.

Hey Randy, You talk about the 3" model.. What weight? 3/8 or 3/4? Thanks
@twb68215 ай бұрын
They fish a little lighter than you’d expect. 1/2oz falls more like 3/8oz, 3/4oz falls like 1/2oz. I prefer the 1/2oz for most Florida lakes, then size down for little ponds. The 3/4oz is great to pitch around cover like a jig.

I switch channels every time I hear megabass. You have videos about high dollar boats, high dollar trucks, high dollar electronics, then you talk megabass. As in mega dollars. 25$ for a jerk bait? Come on man, hypocrisy. No bait is worth what megabass baits sell for. Are you sponsored by megabass?
@fishinforlikes16115 ай бұрын
Plenty of cheaper knockoffs that do the same thing. No point plugging your ears and ignoring some imparted knowledge just because you don't want to buy the same brand he's talking about
@killing_time_charters5 ай бұрын
He's a hypocrite. He's knocking the price of people's boats and electronics and talks about being an elitist sport while pushing 25 doll jerkbaits. Yes there's cheaper but this is what he's promoting

Get a knockoff... you can’t get the point of the video because a brand he named? Your fault
@theoriginaltech0195 ай бұрын
🤣 🤣 Yes since no one else can answer a simple question. The answer is Yes he is sponsored by Megabass. He HAS to push those baits. He CAN'T say anything negative about any of their products.
@johnnywheaton57734 ай бұрын
YES...He DOES have a nice boat/ truck/ the BEST fishing gear...lol..He EARNED all that stuff and MORE by CATCHING BASS. If that bothers You then get Your bass fishing advice from any of the guys at the local lake wearing a holey straw hat paddling a dinged up old jon boat. That's certainly Your right to do so. Personally I'm happy to get FREE advice from a PROFESSIONAL. You sound petty Bro. I personally wouldn't buy a 25 dollar bait either but like some of these guys have pointed out..get a cheap knockoff. It's technique and patterns I'm looking for. Bass may travel in schools but They still can't read the names printed on lures
