Luxembourg is one of my favourite countries I like the vibes of the city centre
@asenseoftravel22 күн бұрын
I do too, especially the lower town! It was also great how easy it was to just hop on the train and get out to some of those smaller towns like Vianden

I once read about different fish dishes from Luxembourg and feeling very inspired by them, I afterwards made a creamy soup with trout, Riesling and fresh herbs (didn't follow any specific recipe). One of the most delicious fish dishes I've ever tasted - and in Scandinavia, where I'm from, we eat a lot of seafood! Whenever I hear about Luxembourg, I'm reminded of that culinary delight. 🇱🇺🐟

That sounds really good! I don't really think of seafood when I think of Luxembourg, but trout does make sense thanks to the rivers! Whereabouts in Scandinavia are you from? I've had some of the best fish in my life up there

@asenseoftravel As Luxembourg is a landlocked country, I guess few people associate it with fish dishes. However, in relation to its size the country has plenty of streams and lakes - and the inhabitants of Luxembourg sure knows how to cook! I'm from a small town in southern Sweden. Thanks for your inspiring and educational videos. Keep it up!

With the country right between France and Germany, did the overall feel lean more French or German?
@asenseoftravel22 күн бұрын
Good question! I think it probably leans more German, just given that Luxembourgish as a language has a lot more in common with German than French. The food is also pretty heavy, and the landscape fits the German one a bit more. But if anyone from Luxembourg is reading this comment and has a better insight, happy to hear your take!

Hello from Luxembourg! The country is far more French than German. While the Luxembourgish language and culture is obviously closer to Germany, you can’t get by in this country without French. The most spoken languages are French 98%, English 80%, German 78%, Luxembourgish 77% (most common native Language)
