That guy Dave pawning the Fender Jazz would have more than an inkling that his bass was not worth anything near what he was asking. He already knew about the refin and the pickups being swapped out. He freely admitted "it's a players bass" after the valuation and legwork had been done. Vintage guitars from any maker are really only worth serious money if they are untouched originals. Was this plotline set up entirely for the story angle? Don't let this show go down the same route as that shocking US fiasco.
