I understood it completely differently, in urdu poetry there is often a theme of childish wonder, bachon ki choti khushian that make their own way even in poverty and difficulty. Jisko roti aur chand main comparison nazar ata hai, jo roti ki chadar main bhi so sakta hai. I understand it as a song of that grown (or still young) child, that even with only a roti to eat, our eyes will look at the moon and shine with wonder.

Very well curated content. I interpreted it in very different light. I thought it's a romantic tale where he says 'Ik bagal main Chaand hoga, Ik bagal main rotiyan' - interpreting that he will have a modest life under stary sky ...enough to feed and enough to be with his loved one "Ik bagal main neend hogi, ik bagal main loriyan " by neend I felt he means peace and contentment.
