The m4 CSL that was announced already fits the GTS designation. There isnt a need for a GTS model anymore

@@zatharos6427 That's true and I agree with you to a large extent. However, I still feel that the CSL isn't the ultimate track-focused rendition of the G82 M4. Imo, such track performance-centric variant of the M4 should come with; (i) a roll-cage for added rigidity, (ii) a large fixed rear wing to attain maximum possible downforce, (iii) stripped-out interior with no audio system and largely-removed sound deadening material for further reduced weight, and (iv) possibly a basic track-focused iDrive system for further reduced weight. In addition, the S58 engine has the tuning potential to be reliably dialed up to at least 580 hp too. But I agree, no one needs a GTS when the CSL is already so capable. Nonetheless, a GTS equipped with the aforementioned characteristics would be quite an interesting variant to serve as the final hurrah to the pure-ICE powered track machine from BMW M. I really appreciate your reply and thanks for sharing your opinion too.

BMW’s M3 Touring (G81) rear-end did NOT pass ❌ U.S.’s 🇺🇸 stringent crash tests. BMW needs to fix that issue ASAP!

@@grayknight836 It's not that it didn't pass. It's sales numbers and how the vast majority of US buyers are hooked on SUVs. After the F31, BMW NA decided against bringing the G21 3 series touring model to the states, so they never even did the tests. I own an F31 and really wish they would homologate the new wagons to the states but they would rather push the X model SUVs instead.
