I have a morning ritual that I need to share. I call it "the terminator". First I crouch down in the shower in the classic "naked terminator traveling through time" pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It ruins the fantasy.

However, feelings impair logical analysis. McGregor is very calculating, and I attempt to view the progression of his UFC career from a perspective that strategically maximizes both his and the UFC’s profits. Look, McGregor’s quick knockout of Jose Aldo is highly impressive but other than that, McGregor’s quick rise was through a somewhat weak 145 lbs. and 155 lbs. roster. Eddie Alvarez was never a convincing champion. Chad Mendez is a small wrestler who took the fight against Conor on short notice. Nate Diaz is tough as nails but not an absolute monster. Conor’s absence from the UFC is strategic. Conor can certainly beat Khabib Nurmagomedov, but Khabib is a true test for McGregor. The risk of a one-sided rag dolling by the Russian would have interrupted the money train for both Conor and the UFC. Professional martial combat is a game of percentages. These two could train together every day, and some days would favor Conor while others favor Khabib. Why risk the future profits of a promotional genius like Conor? McGregor has absolutely nothing to lose fighting Floyd. He’s expected to lose and will retire from MMA very wealthy. If Conor wins, he achieves an even higher legendary status. This is a perfect example of an asymmetric risk-to-reward proposition. This boxing match might not have happened if the marketing machine behind Conor derailed on a gamble with Khabib. The opportunity costs were too great, and Conor is too calculating to make such a poor business decision. Maybe the financial incentive to fight Khabib in Russia will be enough to get Conor to step foot again into the octagon. Conor didn’t dismiss the idea when interviewed by the press, but he did redirect the conversation to other potential match-ups like a Diaz trilogy. Conor is thinking economics and optimal game theory. What opponents yield the highest probability of winning while also maximizing his paycheck? Also, McGregor is too smart not to consider the longevity of his income stream. I do hope Conor McGregor returns to the UFC, but the Irishman has a business mind, and there will certainly be plenty of other investments and ventures open to him after his big payday with Floyd.

I'm Irish, a girl and a huge supporter of ufc/mma. i honestly would love to do it some day, not for the money but because i love it. i think i'm good enough at fighting because i had to defend myself after a few people tried to piss me off. One girl kept punching my arm then made it so she was punching me and shoving me. i'm not one to fight, in fact i'm the opposite. I am very shy and gentle but in this case i had to stop it so i had to fight back but i didn't do much to make her stop. All i did was put my arm where her collarbone is and say if you don't f***ing get out of my face i will rip your head off. my whole school was watching but i didn't realize. i'm glad i stood up for myself because she is one of the most biggest bullies in the whole school. There was this other time that this girl randomly kicked me on the back and then, when i asked her why she done it, she started on me. she swung for me but i ducked then i punched her a few times. Of course she was still fighting me so i kicked up higher than i expected and hit her waist she then swung at me so I ducked and stood up again and punched her in the face. Alot more went on after that but it was very much the same as the other stuff. All my friends were saying "it looked like you were conor mcgregor there for a second" and i was very happy after they said that because i am a very big supporter of him. At the start of this year, before i could stand up for myself i felt like i couldn't do anything because i got badly bullied by a girl, her friend and her boyfriend. My mum and dad won't let me do boxing or karate or anything like mma or ufc because i'm a girl and they're afraid of me getting hurt but to be honest i broke my nose twice and my eyes didn't water or anything because when i get hurt it doesn't hurt that much. My mum and dad are trying to get me into gaelic football because i am good at it and it will make my legs stronger, then, i am going to go to camogie to make my arms stronger, then i might join boxing, then karate. i love my mum and dad so much and appreciate everything they have done and are doing for me. The Champ-Champ is going to depressurise Floyd's thick head in Round 5, his movement is too unorthodox for Mayweather to predict or react to. At some point Floyd is going to misread Conor and take a hit. Prepare for an "educated opinion" you're all probably going to hate. McGregor has the reach so expect to see a lot of jabs from him. Mayweather is going to try to predict Conor and move in close for a right straight into clinch w/ an exit hook. That's what Conor will want, he'll read it, slip it and land a devastating overhand left. Grounding Floyd after a volley of shots. Floyd is not knocked out, he gets up and plays the perimeter, ending the round against the ropes. *Knocked in Round 3. Survives.* *Round 4*: We start to see Floyd fall apart from being knocked hard. He plays it especially, defensive. Takes a lot of body shots and lands 2-3 counters on Conor. Conor takes this opportunity to keep Floyd gasping for air & barrages him with body shots, while keeping his defense to a minimum. He wants Floyd to try and spend energy. Floyd looks exhausted but determined, with a plan to play the perimeter & the ropes to counter Conor at every opportunity. *Round 5:* Conor let's him survive for no more than 20 seconds. After saving up his energy in the 4th round, he rushes in with right hand jabs & bait with left straights, expecting Mayweather to predict a left hook & slip, sidestep following up with a right. After throwing the final right jab, and baiting the final left hook, conor will predict the sidestep, mimic floyd, loosen up his shoulder, roll his arm under and deliver a hard left uppercut, stunning Floyd before knocking him cold with a powerful left. OR I could be talking a load of shit! But look, if this happens remember me.
