Hello great videos love watching your videos. Go to a part of the farm that doesn't have any power or water or drain lines in the area and dig a hole and dig some trenches with it to practice with to get use to digging with it.

Excavators are by far the easiest piece of equipment to operate. You'll be a pro in less than a month. Something like a Case 580 backhoe is a different learning curve, well the ones from the 80's and 90's were. They were a pain in the ass, but soon became my favorite.

Can't believe I was wrong with my guess, just knew you were buying a skid steer, never operated an excavator, but can imagine the learning curve, and if you see you don't use it as much as you think, you'll never have any problem getting your money back out of it, enjoyed as always, take care

That's what I guessed. Made no sense to buy another side by side or tractor. No need for skid steer when you have a front loader on a tractor to perform similar functions albeit at a slower pace and smaller scale. Therefore the only missing capabilities would be what an excavator can do. That Kubota looks good and it will surely be a massive asset to you guys.

To my knowledge, Kubota is a Japanese company, but also opened an American plant in Georgia. A lot of the parts and the diesel engine is made in China, though.. and then shipped to Japan or Georgia for assembly. But it does provide some good jobs down there in Georgia.

one whole day on it you will get it down. Clearing ...i would watch youtuber "letsdigit" for tips on clearing /swampy areas/ponds/brush pits for burning (game changer). He is very responsive to viewers as well. I have had an excavator for 15 years and his videos helped the most with tips and techniques for restoring my farm in my spare time.
