Keep an eye on The Macks because they are making waves in the Pacific Northwest garage rock scene! Out of Portland, Oregon, The Macks were kind enough to stop by Midtopia studio before their insane performance at Wichita's Elsewhere Fest 2024 to perform for Live From Midtopia. The intro track 'Ranchero' is filled with chaotic noise as the instruments slowly cresendo under Sam Fulwiler's haunting vocals before kicking straight into the next tune. The Macks hit full stride on 'Nice', the lead single off their newest record "The Macks Are A Knife". The band just radiates with a "cool" factor that no one can resist. Fulwiler's eery smiles between each vocal line contrast his literal "in your face" stage performance. 'Family Ties' features some crazy solos from guitarist Ben Windheim and really nice harmonies from keyboardist Jake Perris. The final track 'Cowboys & Cattlebroads' is all about the driving rhythm section of Aidan Harrison (bass) and Josef Windheim (drums). The drum beat on the bridge jam sounds like Josef has 4 arms back behind the kit. Be sure to listen to "The Mack Are A Knife" and catch a show if The Macks are in your area!
