I can't read this guy. He seems really likeable and yet he commited that fraud and screwed over hp.

Or he din't...and HP "feels over screwed" as opposed to converting promise of the buy to reality. Imagine if Facebook bought Instagram for 19B and then they din't understand it's power and it petered out. Did FB overpay ? probably. Did they make it work magic for them. Looks like it...I like this guy for his intellect, humility and amazing business sense. Sad I had to learn of him through his death. I am going to trust my instincts that he ain't no "fraud". The one consolation in his death is that he died after being accquitted.

@pradeepgopalakrishnan7953 he was found guilty in the UK. Even if HP did lose some of its value, they were still defrauded by the illegal accounting practices, making out it was worth more than it was. Like putting hardware sales as software sales, and hitting targets by using a third party to make it look like the sales were earlier than they were, not removing records of sales when they failed to go through etc. Even non business minded people know that is wrong.

@@pradeepgopalakrishnan7953 very true at least he had that few weeks where the fear and stress of the trial was behind him , and at least he had some enjoyment. I still can't figure out if he was taken out or if was a accident. Or indeed if he faked his own death. Would be fascinating to talk to the people who survived the boat sinking.
