I'm a huge Howie D fan and had no idea he has a solo record (yes I fell off for a few years). Love this interview. He seems happy, relaxed, and down to earth. Sometimes he seems a bit uptight when he's with the other bsb members.

Yes, he was very serious. Someone had to be especially during the period that Kevin was gone . Brian, A.J. and Nick would goof off so much that it sometimes overshadowed the music that they were performing. I do like all of the backstreet boys and their different personalities, BUT every once in a while I did want to just listen to and focus on their singing. They have such beautiful voices. You don't want to miss out on the strength and oneness of their vocals. They put so much work into harmonizing that it doesn't seem fair to ever miss out on it for any reason. I will never complain about their playfulness, comedy or dance moves. They enhance what the boys can do vocally and are apart of a very great show. I just want to hear the singing as well.

Howie D. was and still is my favorite backstreet boy. I have been a fan since 1998 so it has been about 26 years of adoring this man. I don't think I will ever stop liking him. There is just something about him. He is good looking, but this is not the main reason that I like him. I think it is his kind heart, professionalism, his talent, his brotherly guidance and love for the younger Backstreet boys and his quiet strength. He is not a weak man though he is an anxious and shy one.
