Dan was so ahead of his time. Nowadays we know the importance of image and presentation. Dan understood his entire strategy was based around his image. People saw him as someone whose faith was important to them, was nonthreatening, and was kind. The reality was he was using all of these things as pieces in his game. He specifically said goodnight to Jerry every night even when he got called out by him. They are tiny gestures in the short term, but they mean a lot. Even reading a BIBLE during Keesha's birthday was a play on his image. It's obvious gameplay to us now, but it's so incredibly brilliant.

I've been watching him for awhile on youtube and twitch and he never struck me as a catholic school teacher, that label might have served him the grace of innocent, but as we've seen he didn't follow those principles as this game is opposite of that which is maybe why he resents playing big brother and he says any big brother fans he encounters he has mixed feelings of (me saying the least) i really appreciate this video as it adds to the Dan Ghees lore and it just goes to show how much of a showman he can be and how not only can he work the crowd but work the players and even himself by keeping it fresh and coming up with new angles and ways to perceive life itself.

And Will won BB2 with no veto comps and no frame of reference for how to play, and he got to F4 in BB7 against actual good players. Dan had zero competition in both seasons he played and had crap jury management in BB14. Almost all of the jury was voting for Will in BB7. Finally, Dan called Will the best player of all time. I'll take his word for it.

@@escobruuuh How is kissing ass bad strategy? He's just that good at getting himself out of trouble. You totally underestimate how snowed he had people in BB7. Sov 6 repeatably tried to get him out of the game but he kept convincing them to work with him! He was the only winner in BB7 with the biggest target on his back and he had all the charisma to weasel his way out of everything. It was absolute masterclass in gameplay. BB2 was extremely difficult to win and is the single best game in BB history. He had 3 people in the endgame who all wanted him gone. He was at the very bottom at the beginning of the season and overcame everything to win it. He had to create a strategy on the fly that literally no one that season could pull of that season and no one has since been able to replicate. He's the GOAT.

It really is crazy how much of a parallel there is between dan's 10 and Ian's 14. Both were in a pretty bad spot early, got to be the swing vote near the middle, made plenty of jurors angry but won them back by being consistent, had a pretty long immunity streak, then won with a large majority of the votes. I'll never tire of watching bb videos of Dan. After watching his performance on season 10, it somewhat soured my enjoyment for subsequent seasons. He set the bar so high that few (Andy) came close afterward to being as entertaining and strategic until, in my opinion, of course, Kevin Jacobs performance in bbcan 10. Legends play better from the bottom. Watching this video reminded me of the helicopter ride with Michelle. I completely forgot about this advantage. I don't really watch Big Brother, have seen every episode of Survivor though, and the single season of Big Brother I watched the edited episodes for was season 10, and Dan's brilliant gameplay was absolutely incredible to watch. It seemed like a guy who had truly learned how to control and manipulate the drama and screaming match players in his season. Wicked to watch.

I've never watched a single second of BBUS (I've seen bits of old BBUK, but not for years and years now), but these videos are so interesting. Whenever I've talked about Big Brother UK, I've always said that in theory, it sounds like a really interesting game of social manipulation and mind games etc, but from what I've seen, it never pulls it off. The way the American version works seems way more interesting as it does actually look like you need to have a game plan, and it allows for so many creative ways of getting to the top.

I highly recommend watching him on twitch. Even if you don't like live streams his is so full of personality and fan engagement that it is still worth a try. And it is kid friendly too which just makes how entertaining it is a even greater achievement.
