Hayden genuinely could win again. I really don’t see any glaring flaws in his gameplay. He’s a well-rounded competitor, an underrated strategist, and a solid social gamer. While Matt was the strategist, Lane was the hulking physical figure, and Enzo was the social butterfly, Hayden represented all of the best attributes of The Brigade, and he also was strong where others had flaws. Take the fact that Hayden was one rock draw away from winning Survivor 27 in what feasibly could have been a top 10 winning game, he’s genuinely a top-tier competitor.

He would have to come back for an all winners season to have a shot at winning. If he came back for a season that wasn't all winners, he'd be one of the first targets. But if it was all winners and they had multiple legendary winners, then he'd only be one of many big threats. He probably wouldn't blend into the background, but we've seen the strategy of big threats coming together to run the game work in the all winners season of Survivor. I don't see why it couldn't be pulled off again.

Hayden didn't get into showmances with the most strategic players. On Survivor, he went out there with his girlfriend Kat, who was a very poor Survivor player that made it reasonably far on one of the worst casts ever on One World. She was predictably voted out early in Blood v. Water, and even though Hayden could have taken her place on Redemption Island, he skillfully convinced her that he had a much better chance to win than she did.

it's so interesting how Hayden's game is remembered vs. how it played out live: he defined a new era of gameplay; BB13 immediately reflects this with the veterans alliance (or the Regulators lmao); BB14 is a little different, BB15 has its own janky attempt, then BB16 cements a day-one 4+ alliance as a blueprint to the f2 chair (even if that alliance, true to its name, blew up before reforming in BB16). I feel like ppl resent BB12 for being "the original boring steamroll" but it was frankly crazy to watch play out for the first time, and you captured it incredibly well here! 💜

i think some people may forget that although hayden emphasized comps in his plea that is also because he realized both him and lane had equally great social game. him winning more comps were an addition to his resume, but not the main component. the aim is to make him seem much more of an all-rounder to the jury and to differentiate himself in f2. he wasn't aiming to be a "comp beast".

Hayden Moss is without question my favourite BB winner ever, I remember clear as day in the days of 2010 I wanted him to win from the beginning and when he won I was overjoyed and full of excitement. I deadass should've bought a lottery ticket that year but I was far too young to gamble. Hayden is one of the best all around Big Brother players. He's not the best at any of the 3, social, strategic, and competitions. But he's really solid in all three aspects. The fact that he is one of the top 15 of all time BB players, and likely wins Survivor Blood V Water if the rock draw goes his way, but he hasn't gotten a second chance on either show is insanity.

Yeah I think because strategically Hayden's game isn't seen as impressive as Derrick's or Dan's. He isn't viewed as a mastermind. People can argue if that's true or not, but Hayden played a great all around game. Watching this season when it first aired, it felt like Hayden's season to lose. Not to take anything from Hayden nor from the Brigade, but let's be real; Hayden made it to final 3 so easily bcs of the Brigade. And Brigade was so dominant bcs of the saboteur twist, and it is often overlooked when talking about the Brigade. When the saboteur twist revealed to the hgs, they were literally told there was a saboteur amongst them, who could expose their alliances, act like they are aligned with you and then evict you. Those statements made everyone on edge about alliances, and not wanting to be a part of it since there was a really good chance the saboteur would put themselves in an alliance just to expose the alliance. How is that relates to Hayden' and Brigade' easy ride? Well in the beginning the saboteur struck when the lights were out, all the Brigade members were sitting in the couch next to each other, hearing and even touching each other by accident, assuring them those people were not the saboteur. And the Brigade formed right after that incident, bcs they all knew they could trust each other, and they knew they couldn't trust another soul in the house bcs they might be the saboteur and expose them. This is why the Brigade is still the best secret alliance ever. They had to keep it as a secret bcs they didn't know who was the saboteur.

A few slight corrections: Rachel & Kristen’s animosity started in Week2 when Rachel bluffed to Kristen about Monet/Britney talking shit about her, and got caught shortly after leading to a full House Meeting, not the week 3 “I don’t know”. The house turned against Brendan & Rachel during that house meeting because Matt was using his “Pawn” position to throw Brenchel under the bus by claiming that he was Strongarmed despite being a willing pawn. Ragan was covering for Matt as the only other witness to the pawn plan. Matt’s week3 HoH also had a VERY small chance of going wrong, because both Brendan & Rachel got picked as “Random” draws when statistically that’s roughly a 3% possibility of picking both, which completely switches the likelihood of a backdoor when literally everyone else in the house was on board.

Question about the HOH Basket: has anyone ever used it to gain outside info? Like, suppose you want to avoid having an ally secretly plotting against you. It wouldn't be too hard to encode that into a message from home: just have them send a message saying "you are my wonderful son/daughter/brother/whatever" only if there is someone you need to watch out for. You could then have them use some synonym for 'great' in the next sentence starting with the letter of a houseguest's name (e.g. 'heavenly time' if it's Hayden, 'marvelous time' if it is Matt, etc.). I doubt I'm the first to realize something like this is possible.
