Charles Cecil is such a class act, he kept asking politely if he could go on a tangent, as if we wouldn't all be fascinated by this PS history. And as if PS Access wouldn't want him to spill the beans. Loved how you all were enraptured by his stories. Brilliant episode

Back when I first played the BS demo on PS1 I would play that 20-30 mins of gameplay over and over in wonder what came next. I’d show Sgt Moue Rosso’s ID card over and over and when he said “Yes monsieur, I’ve seen it before” I told my mum I’d shown him about 50 times previous and we both burst out laughing. I lost my mum in January of this year and one of the first things I did when I played Reforged was show Moue the ID over and over to relive that nice memory of mum. Broken Sword is such a comfort in so many ways for so many people. Thank you once again Charles.

I met Charles a few years back at egx where he was showing beyond a steel sky. I didn't realise at the time in my naivety that he was the creator of broken sword and other iconic adventure games. He was so lovely and awesome and signed swag for me and the friends I was with. Such a sincere fellow in it for all the right reasons and still making truly wonderful games! I'll never forget his humble smile when I mentioned Ron Gilbert's monkey island, and his own creation, broken sword, as my favourite adventure games, if I ever see him again I'll give him the thanks he deserves! Absolute legend! Thanks for having him on playstation access!

Broken Sword is such a special game to me. Coming from a very working class family, our holiday budget was quite lean so a week in Cromer was pretty much all we could afford, and yet playing this I felt like I was in 'Paris in the fall', or a traditional Irish pub. It was magical!

16:40 - Good question Dave. It's exactly something I myself would be interested in. As I said in several videos now, it's an absolute treat to listen to Charles Cecil, a game developer that is so much in love with the art he creates. He's like that teacher at school you like listening too just because you appreciate his love for the subject. Thanks for having him on the podcast guys.

Great episode/interview. My only point & click experience is playing Leisure Suit Larry on my friends Amiga as a giggling 14yr old back in the mid 90s. Over the years I've become aware of Broken Sword but never played it. I'm exhausted by 3rd person adventure games right now & been playing arcade shooters & metroidvania games, so maybe this is the break I need to play something different & new.

Games just keep dropping the ball… I always have multiple games I’m looking forward too and one or two will make the cut… So disappointing! I would buy them all if they didn’t fail Like the new Funk Fusion game looked so fun. But I heard it isn’t The Casting of Frank Stone if is no good. So another horror game fail. And it’s just always like this.. So disappointing. Atleast I could get the Black Myth Wukong game.
