I'm touched that Yunalesca was on the list. One of my biggest walls in gaming, but beating her was the best feeling. Thanks for recognising a legend Alex!

Mistletoe was Baldur's weakness. Brok and/or Sindri had given Atreus mistletoe arrows, Freya freaks out when she sees he has them and says to get rid of them. But Kratos uses part of one of them to fix the strap of Atreus's quiver at some point. Baldurs punches Atreus in the chest, and the mistletoe fragment pierces his hand, stripping him of his invulnerability! 😎

LOVE that Alex and Amy are now rotating members of the podcast, and channel videoes in general, and really look forward to the future of Boss Busters. BUT what happened to the «Before We Go» segment of the podcast? It was always such a great place for recommendations, and as evidence that the Access team are in fact real life flesh people! Hope to see it return in the future 🥳

They seem to have ditched all of the podcast format. I still love listening to them chat but I think it was more enjoyable with the different segments like "what's new" and "comments of the week"

Comments of the week was good for community engagement and before we go allowed quick out of discussion topics and stories that we wouldn't otherwise hear. Allowed us to know more about the hosts. If anything I find the new style forced, as it lacks that passion that Ash brought when she started the podcast. But different strokes for different folks I suppose.

The Titan theme playing during falling fight is "Heart if Stone". And yes, it is definitely one of the best pieces in the game; especially that heroic section once it changes key. Bravo Soken.

When it comes to great boss fights, I will always have a place in my heart for the Colossi of Shadow of the Colossus 😊

Some great mentions here. I love the Grey Fox fight in MGS; the build up to the fight, and the brilliant and memorable dialogue “hand to hand, it is the basis of all combat, only a fool trusts his life to a weapon”, sooo good. And then Rosie mentioned the Liquid Ocelot fight in MGS4. The cutscene fight before the battle is so perfectly choreographed I was in complete awe, then the music slows and the guys inject each other and the classic health bars pop up. Absolute banger of a boss fight indeed. I haven’t watched the whole video yet but I will mention a few of my favourites. Sword Saint Isshin from Sekiro, Sigrun from God of War, Tendo from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Laurence from Bloodborne, and Olgierd from The Witcher 3.

Returnal is incredible, I made a second account so I could platinum it for a second time. Hyperion mightn't be the hardest boss in the game, but the whole lead up to them for the whole level, the music growing, everything makes it such a banger.

Thanks for the pod! When I saw the title of the video, the first boss I thought of was Hugo/Titan from FF16. One of the most glorious boss fights I've ever experienced! And then to follow it up with Bahamut not long after!? A cool video game experience I won't soon forget. Cheers, everyone!

For Alex: Tate Eboshi from the third DLC of Nioh 2. She is the epitome of an epic battle, super fast but she's got some tells, but also an absolutely immense arsenal of moves to pull. You'll definitely enjoy that battle! For Rosie: since you talked about Cuphead a lot, but also left out Gherman, how about Soul of Cinder or Slave Knight Gael from Dark Souls 3? For my dearest Rob: there's ONE FF7RB boss that we have to talk about, and that's the G-man, in all of his glory, the best swordsman in the universe! It's been nearly a month since I finished that fight and I'm still awestruck by how amazing it was.

I saw Sans being defeated in Nate's run, Sans eventually decides to give you the chance to surrender (if you take it you have to be ready for a final attack) after that you have to wait for him to fall asleep. THEN you have to move the box (the one you dodge attacks in) so you can reach attack. that is when you win

The Bahamut boss fight is my favorite in FFXVI. I love how epic it is and getting to fight alongside and then fused with Joshua was amazing. Dion is one of my favorite FF characters as well. Every part of that chapter was absolutely amazing. I love the Titan Lost boss fight almost as much, but I think the tragedy of what happened right before the Bahamut fight is what made it my favorite in the game. The villains in XVI are amazing. I despised Hugo and was so hyped to wreck him by the time I fought him. It shows how great the writing in the game is when you feel heartbroken for characters or absolutely loathe the villains and feel relieved when characters get revenge or respite. Yes, I do get very emotionally invested in characters and stories that I play through, and I get very attached. 😅

Soul Reaver 2 when as Raziel the soul reaver wielding the soul reaver sword and you are fighting Raziel the sarafan. It is at that point you realize you kill yourself to be raised as vampire general to then become a soul reaver. And the edge of the coin. History abhors a paradox.

Vergil....because he's Vergil. But my #1 pick would be the Dahaka from PoP Warrior Within. Normally with bosses I'm like- Stage 1: I'm weak. Stage 2: Level up and max out myself. Stage 3: Show the boss who's the boss. But with Dahaka, even when maxed out, I just wanted to run away. The Dahaka was...is terrifying! Honourable mentions: Mr Freeze and Deathstroke from Batman Arkham series, Lavenza from Persona 5 Royal and Freiza from any DBZ game.

Dante is a great boss as well. He's hard, perhaps not the hardest in the DMC series but he's the hardest to style upon or get cool combos in to get S-ranks. He's unpredictable and when he switches to Royalguard you better get away from him.
