It's like sleep, gives the brain/creativity a resting point...it's those contemplative states of refreshment that spark genius, it's like when you lose your keys and look everywhere energetically, but when you rest and stop thinking BOOM, you remember where they are.

"Action stems from stillness" Bro Elliot this is supreme right here. THE MOST TRUTH! And I think this is where the importance of meditation comes from especially when the individual needs rest and allow the body to slow, catch up, and land on the next action needed.

Thank you for this message!!! I was in a toxic cycle of working myself to the bone in retail management, neglecting my original dreams of becoming a graphic designer, and my self narrative was very negative “keep grinding, stay up until midnight working on graphic design or else your lazy!!” But after a whole day running the store, I was so exhausted and would often fall asleep one hour after getting home… I would wake up depressed and promise the next day I would work on my passions but it never ever worked out. This went on for years and I got so unhappy & felt like a slave. My battery was completely drained from my job… COVID put an end to that job & I am the happiest I’ve ever been… I’ve been practicing nonstop & sharpening my skills, had 2 interviews with a studio, hoping that works out, and have energy to work out again, my ankles and hands don’t ache everyday anymore… sometimes you really do have to quit the grind to find a new, more full-filling, grind…

Even God rested one day per week. I work about 50 hours per week, and I’m also dealing with pain from breaking my neck and jaw in the Army. So it’s pretty hard on me to just make it thru the work week. I do very little at least one day per week, and sometimes I don’t do much at all on Saturday and Sunday except maybe the laundry. It’s very important to take care of yourself. You can’t give if you’ve given away everything you have. If you’re not the lazy type, you’re the person who needs to forcefully make yourself rest. You won’t have any creative energy if you’re burning yourself out.

Big up on this video today, I feel like I’ve become more eccentric with my action instead of tactical over the past few months. We’ve hit a rough patch and the sporadic energy dribbled over into our tasks. This morning we had a grounding meeting that allowed us to slow down and see our mistakes. I crushed my tasks today and will now take some time to rest outside by the pool & await the next move.

I totally agree with all this. Every time I sit down for literally just 3 minutes in the morning before I go go go, I ask myself what do I want. What do I want to see for the day. What do I want for myself. I keep a little notepad next to me. I close my eyes and answer those questions. If need be I jot a couple things down so I don't forget. I set a time around my phone and stick to the 3 minutes so I don't have an excuse to not do it

Yo this is the same situation I go through 😂! Full time job + running a business on the weekend + night school + jiu jitsu class + while doing this I also completed 75 hard, at times I would need to wake up at 3am to do my first workout and wouldn’t get to bet till around 11 after my second workout , no bullshit. No time for any nonesense felt like an absolute animal which I loved and when it was time to go to bed with my girlfriend there was not a drop of energy for activities lol as soon as my body had the moment to lay down I almost would instantly fall asleep. I’m a young buck (21) and am terrified of becoming who I used to be (overweight pizzaman living with mom). Most of my choices in life are always based on “productivity” that I now realize is my solution to my fear of becoming who I once was. Spinning my wheels everyday but I think because I’m young so I’m able to love the way I feel at the end of the day feeling like I left it all on the field. I’ll start phase 1 of the program soon
@HonestyHVAC3 жыл бұрын
Not gonna lie adding the jiu jitsu class was an impulse decision that was mainly about getting out of my comfort zone, and has proven to be the fly that breaks the camels back, other than that the other things are totally doable every day without compromise

“Slow and steady wins the race.” I once knew someone that ran a business at very fast pace. They made a lot of money in a short amount of time. After 3 years the money stopped. I much rather run a business that has steady income for the next 35 years of my life. You can achieve that by properly pacing yourself.

Exodus 20 And God spoke all these words, saying: 2 “I am the Lord thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. 4 “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me, 6 and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments. 7 “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain. 8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work; 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. 12 “Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 13 “Thou shalt not kill. 14 “Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15 “Thou shalt not steal. 16 “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. 17 “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house; thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s.” 18 And all the people saw the thunderings and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they removed and stood afar off. 19 And they said unto Moses, “Speak thou with us and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.” 20 And Moses said unto the people, “Fear not; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.” 21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. 22 And the Lord said unto Moses, “Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel: ‘Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. 23 Ye shall not make with Me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. 24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto Me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings and thy peace offerings, thy sheep and thine oxen. In all places where I record My name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee. 25 And if thou wilt make Me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone; for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. 26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto Mine altar, that thy nakedness be not uncovered thereon.’
