Skeet played Ray beautifully. They were both good in this. Wow. My favorite scene was Ray’s joy that the baby was coming when he scooped her up and carried her into the house. Such joy.

I fell in love with this movie when it first aired, and I've watched it several times since. The two main actors are wonderful, and the story is charming, warm, and lovely. Recently, I was wishing I could see it but couldn't find it anywhere, so I bought the book instead. Can't wait to find out how closely the movie follows it. I also went to a online discussion recently, where people shared their favorite Hallmark movies, looking to see what they picked. Nobody mentioned The Magic of Ordinary Days but me. I gave it a rave review because it's my personal FAVORITE!

What a gem of a movie. In this day and age traditional values are often mocked, but take a look at the deep happiness those values will bring for those who choose them. Spoiler alert: when Ray says to Livy "Someday you're gonna forgive yourself," Livy's eyes look up and begin to widen, because the possibility of love and happiness begins to dawn upon her. It's not so much that she has to take responsibility, (yes, there's that), but that she can accept forgiveness of a mistake, assimilate it, and continue to grow into love. The very next scene was no surprise to me. Happily. Enjoy this film!

I loved this film, can't stop watching it and have ordered the DVD but Ray tells Livy that he loves her and I just wish she had told him the same before they kiss when he's holding the baby. Love it that the baby is named after the brother who died at Pearl Harbor.

Keri was radiant in this movie. Women knew how to dress back then, feminine, classy, and beautiful. Same with men, we were gentlemen, sport coats and fedoras, and manners, imagine that.... No ball caps and hoodies, jeez, what happened.

I know,right! My grandmother would never have dreamt of popping to the corner store unkempt (she would never have imagined people schlep out in pyjamas with messy hair). Her shoes were polished, ditto handbag, perfectly clean and ironed frock, hair done up, dash of lipstick and powder. Spritz of Yardley’s lavender scent. Immaculate from the skin out, and with impeccable manners. Of course, she also endured the depression and two world wars and could make a cheap meal that tasted incredible with very little in the pantry. Impressive generation.
