Thank you, Alison, for introducing me to the wonders of gathering and shirring on an overlocker. Your calm and well paced delivery makes it very easy to follow the instructions while seeing the demonstration. One year I machine embroidered cushions and added a frilled edge, which took ages. I wish I had known the overlocker would have been my friend. ❤😂🎉 🇦🇺

Thank you Alison for a lovely clear demonstration. Like you, I love gathering on my overlocker and also doing rolled hems. I really enjoyed your vlog and you helped clear up some questions I had. Brill! Also, thank you for your tips and for showing the different feet. I have been sewing for a VERY long time but there's always something to learn. Thank you once again.

Thank you so much for this lesson. I’ve only ever overlocked on my machine that I bought a few months ago. When you were gathering did you remove the knife or was the fabric kept out of its way?

Thanks for this. In the first demo when you say you manipulated the fabric to get more gathers, were you pushing the fabric in or pulling? I couldn't really tell. Thank you! I love this when I'm crafting and size doesn't matter, the gathers are soooo fast and even but I'm always worried skirts and bodices won't match up or something. This was helpful!
