The magic of pleats

One of the haute couture designs we made in our atelier.
Inspired by the organic lines of tree bark and the moss that grows on them, the chiffon is pleated meticilously to create sensual lines to complement the female curves. About 8 meters of silk chiffon in ombré green went into this top and as moss glistens in the morning dew, we embroidered Swarovski crystals and semi precious beads between some of the pleats.
Expert hands were needed to had stitch this design, as the chiffon is cut on the bias to hug the body for added sensuality. Hours to make? 650 hours
