Wowzer!!! that is just beautiful and who would ever imagine that most of those plants just chose a new location for their seeds and off they went. Stunningly gorgeous.

In my zone 7 b I have calendula and cosmos as self seeders and love them.

I LOVE when Cosmos self seeds! Calendula too of course, but Cosmos seems to be more imaginative about where it pops itself..

A beautiful native that looks a lot the same and works in my zone 6 (colder climate perennial) is Ironweed. I love mine and I get the same effect as I can't grow this plant in my zone.

How would the Ginormous Geranium do in 8b..S. Oregon, your garden and garden center are beautiful! Wish i were closer! So glad you are going to do your own show.
@CottageGardensofPetaluma3 ай бұрын
I just saw this question! Apologies for the delay....I think it is going to do just fine in your location with a little protection if the weather threatens to freeze up. Maybe try growing your Geranium madarense in a large pot (they get huge), then you can shelter it over winter and plant it out its second spring. 🌼

LOVE at first sight!😍I've been a self-seeding Cottage gardener in Minnesota for decades. Cosmos Sensation, Larkspur, and Hollyhocks are my faves, but I'm definitely going to give geranium matense (Cranesbill) a try. Thanks for highlighting this beautiful garden and I'll be subscribing to Cottage Gardens of Petaluma!

I’m blown away by the masses of Geranium maderense! I have one in a pot that I have to treat like a diva to get it through the winter here in Wales! Oh to have them self-seeding… There’s video of my sad-looking Geranium maderense shivering in the greenhouse over winter on my KZbin channel if you want to compare! Anyway, new subscriber alert! I look forward to watching more of your videos.

@@CottageGardensofPetaluma Definitely, it's a good plant to bond over! Mine's a white variety although it hasn't flowered yet - hopefully this year. Although I just love the foliage to be honest.

I have that euphoria also it only self seeds in containers that I left sitting around with soil in them , don't know how it spreads so fast , Holly hocks is another self seeder, keeps coming back without replanting... you're garden is so beautiful, would love to come see your CG nursery in Petaluma.

If you ever decide to sell any PLEASE let us know. I will order immediately. Not sure if that stunning plant will grown in north Texas but I would sure attempt it with glee. Please make more videos of your magical garden. So stunning. Pure heaven. ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing with us.

Echium is adored by the bees. It requires No water after the first year. Make sure you wear long sleeves when pruning cuz the milky sap itches!

@CottageGardensofPetaluma5 ай бұрын
You have 30 gardens!!?! Jealous! I bet you can figure out how to make this amazing geranium work for you, though it's only winter hardy to 23 degrees. A winter stay in a greenhouse maybe?
@louisedumais64966 ай бұрын
what zone do these grow in
@CottageGardensofPetaluma5 ай бұрын
They're really only hardy to 23 degrees F, so if your zone gets colder than that over winter, be prepared to bring it indoors or build a little greenhouse over it!
