As someone who's yet to get an echium through two consecutive Yorkshire winters, I'm jealous of these self seeders 😂

I feel for you! They are pretty spectacular when they get going. Certainly not a plant I will ever tire of

A number of years ago I was wandering through the blooming echiums in my sister's garden and wondered if I had somehow been transported into a beehive, such was the buzzing surrounding me.

Awesome, I have Verbascum Thapsus in my Dutch garden and 24 seeds of Melanoselinum Decipiens (still waiting for them to show themselves above the soil).. Great variety of plants over there :)

Very nice. I love the Verbascums and especially because they attract the very showy mullein moth caterpillar. I too will soon have to get some Melanoselinum going from the mass of seed I collected and introduce it to the other gardens I tend 🌱

I think I’ve done well to get Nigella (spring) succeeded by zinnias (flowering now) self seeding in my outside border. Fills in any gaps & I have ed only to water when necessary. What a range of absolute beauties you have there.

Sounds great! Where in the world do you live? I think it’s perfect to have these beautiful plants that self seed and don’t require too much attention ☺️

Love your videos. More please. I bought quite a few packets of seeds on my last visit to the garden. Unfortunately nothing germinated. I think the seeds had been kept in the full sun in the shop I emailed to complain but never had a reply

Hi Alan, thank you for watching, I’m glad you enjoy them. I’m sorry to hear about you having no success with the seeds. It’s very unusual you are having no germination whatsoever. The location of the seed stall shouldn’t affect the results too much (I have recently had Geraniums germinate this year) but I will pass on your feedback when I can 👍

Wow! Jealous of your proliferation of Geranium Maderense. Gorgeous thing. I’m fortunate to have one white & one purple currently. Too hot by far where I am for them to seed themselves successfully.

They are truly spectacular! One of my all time favourites for sure. We are lucky to have such things freely seed about the garden

Love the video! I bought some geranium maderense seeds when I was last in Tresco. They are doing fantastically well in Torquay. What time of year is this video please?

Thank you, I’m glad to hear your seeds have been successful. Hopefully you get some impressive flowers. The video was actually shot over the duration of 6 or 7 months over spring and summer to showcase the various plants in flower
