RGICS team is carrying out a study to explore possible opportunities for job creation, livelihoods for farmers in the farming of Medicinal and Aromatic plants; and also ways to enhance the export of these items.
Our team visited the farms of Maa Danteshwari Herbal Group in Bastar, Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, founder of Maa Danteshwari Group and his team took us through their farms, how they practice organic farming and grow herbs like Stevia, Black Pepper, Ashwagandha, etc.
They briefed our team on how vertical farming of black pepper helps farmers earn a very good income and how they have trained farmers from different states in similar practices.

Sugar cane needs water in huge quantities to grow and five times more in processing to make sugar. Because of this even states like Tamilnadu and Karnataka fights for water. Sugar made from sugarcane is not good for diabetes.I don’t understand why people still grow sugarcane when we have an option called stevia. Any reply is highly appreciated
