the witcher 3 is truly my favourite game, the best i’ve ever played. i spent hundreds of hours simply wandering the beautiful fields, with those glorious skies and colours (and taking many, many screenshots). you captured it so, so well. your talent is clear. 🎉

Hopefully it appeals to a few Witcher fans. The Witcher 3 is probably one of my favourite games, definitely my favourite fantasy open world game, with the graphics and the richness of the world and the characters, choices impacting story elements and random conversations you can have as you encounter random people etc. It is a very beautiful game, as in, it is largely set in vast countryside which I can roam around in for hours doing almost nothing but enjoying the sights and sounds and avoiding conflict... Generally these Magical style stories do about 4-5x as well as my non-Magical stories, so I'm hoping that it does better than my last few stories even if no Witcher fans discover and listen to it...

I may eventually buy myself a gaming system but if I do would probably be a Switch but as someone who never has and likely never will get the opportunity to get into video gaming I really liked getting to sort of live vicariously through you as you played. Getting the feel and emotions of a game without the serious intensity that doesn't really intetest me. I really enjoy your serene style....except for when you ran amok in GTA 😂

Any amok in GTA is always unintentional. The main problem with the gaming is the same with all streaming, that I don't want to have to do it later at night. I want to do it in the middle of the day, but my audience is online in my evening, so unfortunately I end up having to do streaming late at night which I find very stressful to commit to ..

@@introvertedfox6826 the story with pickles I can find is Time for Love. I assume the name was probably a suggestion in the chat, someone probably suggested pickles, meaning actual pickles and I probably used it as a name... My nan did have a dog called pickles long before I was born...

FYI, the story lasts 50 minutes. The other 2 hours are just some weird white noise.

That is exactly what it says in the description and chapters and what most sleep stories channels do (except it is rare for most stories to be so long), that it is a long sleep story, 52 minutes, and then the rain on window and gentle storm sounds continue on for the remaining 2 hours so that the listener doesn't suddenly have silence at the end of the story...

How is the live intro doing?

It is too early to tell. I've not had any complaints on the videos yet and rates of new subscribers from all videos so far lately are very low, so it is difficult to tell there as most videos only lead to about 5-10 new subscribers with it without the intro. I've reason for doing the intro is to demonstrate it is me telling the story(stories) and is my voice, because there are a lot of channels like this still being shut down by KZbin due to the creator not being on screen demonstrating they aren't a computer generated voice and that this is original content etc and they then have to fight KZbin to prove that they are real and that the content is really them etc. Also, if I ever manage to get sponsorships, which I could really do with getting now on the channel to keep the channel going, then if people are used to me talking for a moment before stories, then hopefully it won't be so shocking if I'm talking for a moment about a sponsorship before stories...

While I'm pleased for them its frustrating seeing other newer channels get sponsorship and substantial patreon when you've been struggling despite providing unique quality stories. I don't get it...

Thank you... The million dollar question has always been how do I improve my sluggish skills enough to come across likeable. I know when I was doing the weekly livestream's the biggest reasons given for people unsubscribing were that I come across as a horrible and unlikeable person and a boring person, even though I know anyone that knows me knows that doesn't describe me at all, but something about the way I present gives those vibes and I think that is something which impacts the success of my channel. I think I must convey that even during my intros and stories, as well as live etc. So I think it leads to people not wanting to support the channel with Patreon or merch or SuperChats/SuperThanks or purchasing books or seeing non sleep story videos etc. This is an area I've been trying to work on, trying to figure out what behaviours I have to do and how I have to do those behaviours, like tone of voice, pace, words used etc to come across kind and friendly and hopefully likeable...

@@DanJonesHypnosis well I'm probably not a good person to advise on that as I'm socially awkward myself and don't think I'd fare much better. While you may not be traditionally friendly and outgoing as many youtubers I'd never think to describe you as horrible. You always seem to do your best to respond to everyone and engage but just not in as flashy or extroverted a style but then you do super kind gestures lije putting subscribers and/or our discussed struggles into therapeutic stories and those gestures and memories mean a lot. I know you've mentioned Snooze with Sam a few times and I do enjoy his stories but generally he and other sleep story creators don't have the depth and therapeutic healing that yours do and its one of the things I love most about what you do and can't understand why others don't appreciate it.

I think you are incredibly interesting and someone that everyone would say “he’s a really nice guy.” I always enjoy when you go live and just chat with us-and we wouldn’t hang out for hours if you were boring. ❤
