I love that the Beast uses magic to give himself piano on-demand when he sings. (Probably a few other instruments, too!)

“Yeah, for starters,” is quite possibly one of my favorite lines of Julia’s. It’s one of the rare occasions where she seems annoyed. If your best friend is an uber-nerd like Quentin, patience clearly isn’t something you lack.

Charles mesure ages like fine wine. He's handsome and charming even as a villain.

He's just too chipper and pleasingly entertaining to also be the beast. Who would he sing to if he killed everyone?
@lfinch1505 жыл бұрын
The question is what would he sing when he killed everybody
@haven6003 жыл бұрын
He clearly sings for himself since he sang in an open area and no one reacted to him walking by so he must have rendered himself invisible

I think they made a mess of Martin Chatwin in season 2. They made him far too chipper, comical and friendly. By the time the face-off with Alice came, I was rooting for The Beast! And that isn’t good. They basically turned him into an anti-hero at times in season 2.
@hollywoodpineapple833710 ай бұрын
Yeah. I don't even think the issue was his character. In fact, considering his situation it makes sense why he was the way he was especially without his shade BUT the rooting for him came into play with how the Brakebills crew were behaving, esp. to Julia. They acted SHE interrupted them when the reality is she had a better hold of the situation than they did. She had a contract with him and was on the verge of sorting out Reynard and THEY interrupted that not caring about how serious reynard who is GOD was. Imagine if she hadn't grabbed Penny she'd be back there with Marina and gotten killed and they wouldn't care. They were weird as hell. They should have had him just be injured and go off to recoup and not eliminate him entirely.
