I've seen too many great groups go through these type of issues with management companies. Recently a group of mine went under bc of it's issues with it's label company. Praying for SB19. Whoever made that video is wrong and should stop the “both sides” crap. It is all about greed and just on one side. The boys need to win this. And they need more than just the support of their fans. In this fight, they need the strong and loud support of the country’s whole art community and its various organizations. Making it seem as if they (Mahalima) were milking the name.. bro they're the one who established who SB19 is! Also the artists must have the freedom to choose which of their work will be out for the company. They don't work for the company to write songs, they were there to sing and dance. WYAT is THEIRS. Everything they worked hard for is theirs. I can see the issue of creating a song secretly in collaboration with some staff, as it could be labelled as rebellion. But in the context of USING their company.. big NO. They just make arrangements. They do not feed the artists. This situation is so heartbreaking.

Also the SB19 being the greedy one part, HOW? If an artist thinks he will not grow in a slow paced management, is it greed that they chose innovation? That they decided to be independent by doing what they can do secretly (because their works are being stuck in the drawer) and just finish the contract they have with the management? Like Chuck said, this is all purely speculative and we all don't know the details of what's happening. For all we know, 1Z could be paying royalties to ShowBT for the use of the name. 1Z has a legal team, they did not go into this haphazardly. When the boys released Pagtatag, Stell mentioned the challenges they had to go through to retain the name. They even have a song about it in the EP (CRIMZONE). So I don't think they overlooked the use of the name, it's the first thing one would think about when going independent like that. So it must be something else, and we can only speculate about what it is. For now, we can only give the boys our support so that they don't lose traction as they navigate through this legal bottleneck. They'll only come back stronger after all this. 🤞

My own speculation is that they have been licensing the trademark up til now while negotiating for a purchase of it, and something happened recently to kill the negotiations - either ShowBT asking for an impossible price, flat out denying a purchase, or hiking up the license fee to unreasonable levels. All of which is their legal right to do, as crappy as that is.
