The main reason for breakups and divorces is SELFISHNESS. It is all about what one EXPECTS from the relationship. Whereas our Patriarchal parents knew it was about GIVING, not taking. It was about sacrifices for the partner and the family. Today it is all about ME, MYSELF & I and OUR happiness. And since everyone knows over 90% of divorces are by women, its always about the woman’s happiness. She cares not about her partner or the marriage. And usually it is always about MONEY. Money SHE wants; materialistic things SHE wants; always looking for something better.

I have been witness to this and yet here I am after the break up thinking about how could have done more to keep the relationship or how I could have provided more for her eve though she was making more money then me.

it's our individual selfishness and emotional instability. We "want something" in a relationship without contributing equally. We don't want to work on ourselves

Absolutely. It's 50/50. The problem is, some traits are difficult to identify but can be as harmful as the obvious. So you can't judge one of both more just because they look more friendly

This is SO incredibly true. So many people entering relationships don't take themselves into consideration at all. This is exactly what we need to do: take a personal inventory. The problem is that by the time we work things out with ourselves, the persons of interest might have taken off with others who might be more together :). When you get to certain age, you are so messed up from life experience that you are better off keeping things platonic so that there aren't any expectations.

Happiest people I find are blue collar Latin families. They have fewer options, and strong family ties. There fun is centered around family gatherings. The more you have the more you want.

This is a generalisation and please dont shoot the messenger but Unfortunately some women in their youth make bad choices and pick rich boys pretty boys bad boys immature and irresponsible men men with multiple kids by different women etc and all the men that other imnature women tell them they should desire. Women crave excitement and entertainment in their youth and don't want to be bored. Some Women make bad choices until they are in their late 20s early 30s and even into their 40's and blame all men for those choices then look around and there's no one left.There were nice guys that wanted them but they were too boring or nerdy or not cool or macho enough when they were young. Their mothers should be educating them on the kind of men they should be looking for not their immature friends. By the time they realise its often too late. Most women make great choices and have great long term relationships based on sound practical decisions and don't judge books by their covers but look deeper. We all often pick the same kind of partner when young and have a type and keep making the same mistakes and if you could just have guidance when young this could go a long way to leading to happy healthy long term adult relationships. Until this dynamic shifts it will only get worse.

I make sure any woman who wants to be with me knows exactly what they can and cannot expect from me. I explain my boundaries and my expectations. I explain what I can offer and what I can not. I don't try and hide myself. I don't believe in lying. I do have a dark side to my personality and I explain to them before hand what will trigger that bad side from coming out. I'm like a two sided coin. I can be the nicest sweetest person you've ever met or I can become the worst nightmare you can imagine. I like to explain my personality this way. I am like a dragon. I love to be in my cave with my princess and my treasure. I am a very sweet and protective dragon. But just don't ever forget that I am a dragon.
