between the french and US...french has it rough in rank 1 to 3 but after rank 3 the tank slowly become better and more tolerant....US however....they are sitting in the middle for a long ass time from rank 1 to rank 5...i felt more frustrated driving US tank than french

It's hilarious when you compare it with the VBCI premium at the same BR with the same main gun. The VBCI has: -a remote controlled turret -better protection (50 cal proof) -much faster -way better optics -aircraft tracking -a 50 cal The discrepancies are glaring

You are correct in your assumtion, the numbers after CV90 tells what caliber it uses, as in CV9040 it's a 40mm canon and in this case with the CV9030 it uses a 30mm canon. I'm currently struggling with this CV9030FIN as it wasn't in the game when I unlocked the other CV90s. Thanks for the pointers! //A swede.

I don't know if optical tracking is the correct term, but the FCS system is quite refined for its time, it's more like semiautomatic tracking where the gunner has to keep the target on his sight, while the FCS helps the tracking of the target based on input and laser rangefinder response, and when you're tracking the target, you'll just need to hold it on top of your target, the FCS calculates the firing solution automatically, leads and all. So technically I don't think it qualifies as a optical tracking system, rather it's just FCS that was quite nice in its day, still very usable but there are more sophisticated systems around today.

This vehicle suffer from the "low caliber=no damage" syndrome. When you were shooting the t55 and the turms, your bullets were penetrating but doing extremely low damage. One shot on the t72 manage to go through the turret ring, kill his engine, but doing zero damage to the crew and the ring, it's absurd

Cv90 is also designed to be capable of taking on mbts, which it is... I have the cv9030 on wt as well and tbh it's not bad, it takes flanking and outsmarting your enemy. It's a decent ifv but the maps and your team can easily screw you... I prefer to scout and flank so this vehicle is put to great use, while it has more shortcomings than its 40mm variant it isn't something to overlook or underestimate

The closest analog to this vehicle is the Type 89 (BR 8.3) in Japan tech tree. The gun actually has a pretty closer performance. The APFSDS of 30 mm Bushmaster gun does not have enough 60 degree penetration to guarantee side shot effectiveness. The armor and mobility are pretty the same, which are relatively thin and not very agile. Plus, CV9030 does not have a missile, which is actually technically... worse? This vehicle is certainly not at the PUMA grade. Two things make PUMA exceptionally well are the Armor and the speed. The Armor of PUMA is actually strangely effective (almost Immune to HEAT, and can absorb a lot of APFSDS sharpenals if not directly hit the crew). The transmission is also quite responsive, unrelated to the Power-to-Ton ratio. In CV9030, we cannot get neither of these features. In conclusion, CV9030 should be a BR 8.3 vehicle. It is easy to be countered by any tank at that rank (unlike PUMA, which was hilariously invincible at BR 8.3 when it just comes out). Plus, a lot of light vehicles around that BR will make this tank a lot more enjoyable (at least the 30 mm gun can do something to them). Just like the clip shows, when CV9030 faces T-72AV/ZTZ-96AP, those are not things that should show up together.

On urban maps like the first one i like to play these things by sticking my butt around a corner either far enough to bait a shot ot to get my gun around the corner. As there is nothing really important in the back people shooting at you often do no damage, take out the radiator or at worst one crew member + turret ring. Very rarely do you get tracked or overpressured, making it very likely youll survive the first shot. Works quite well with the cv90120, less so with the Bill due to having missiles in the back.

The Stock grind with the Ammo was a pain in the A**.. really not worth on 9.0 especially with all the uptiers that you get. Dies immediately, lacks HEV-t ammo and the punch of the 40mm. Especially compared to other IFVs like the breadly which gets atgm as well..

No survivability and especially no damage is a terrible combination especially at 9.0, I can get almost the maximum out of any IFV I play but this thing just isn't capable at all which is painful because I was really looking forward to it. Ideally this thing would be 8.7 or hell even 8.3 (its worse than the type89 and its missiles no longer work lol) and better yet the 30mm bushmasters damage could be improved from what is basically a glorified .50cal

I believe they chose it because they wanted to do their classic trick of releasing the premium first (the way they did with the Ka-50 or the A-10) and this VBCI variant is the only modern French light vehicle that both isn't in French service and doesn't have ATGMs.

@JustinPlays Oh man they changed the setup for the not scuff the junk shavers. The length attachments us to just clip on over the trimmer head and they were a bitch to connect on and off. Damn, I ain't gonna drop another hundred and something bucks to get another one when it's like maybe a little over a year old or so. But the shaver I have is all smooth with no edges it's unlike the one in this video but still the lawnmower the 3rd gen or something like that.

The other contries with that CV variant do use them at least. Now still to wait for them to add the air sigth for them, as they do got dedicated computericed air sigth.

Any vehicle you can kill from the sides, the small profile allows for really nice scouting/support, anti-air. CV90IFVs are perfect support vehicles.

To answer your question about vehicles that I dont have any confidence playing Abrams tanks. The hull armor is terrible, the breech is the size of a bus, and the gun falls short consistently against the targets it faces.

IRL It has no lock on feature. It can only apply lead to targets flying in a straight line at a constant speed.

Not the CV9035NL. It uses a FCU calculated track with info from your LRF and control stick inputs. So it’s a very coarse track.
