I tell ya, I play the Little Spree in Solos, and I've played it all the way into the open, and hearing you play it was the first time I heard it telling the story. Fantastic!

Excellent video. Is Ian still making pipes? I believe Ian was a turner for Gillander & McLeod, is that correct?

In the video, there is often a piece of sandpaper showing - for example, at or just after 2:55. What's happening when you are doing this - cleaning the tool?

nice craftsmanship ! Question : does the drones thickness modulation of the outside diameter ( the inside diameter being cylindrical) impacts the sound in any way (if so in which way?) or is it purely decorative ?thanks

Amazing video. One false move when making those beadings, and the whole piece is ruined. I recently acquired some laburnum and when researching what I can turn with it, I was interested to hear that in Scotland pipes were sometimes made with this wood...and yet it is toxic! Anybody able to provide any more information on this please?
