have been listening to Indian Ocean for the past 15 years and delighted by their originality , and being a father to a budding rocker who worships them , this "cover" somewhat saddened me. There is a whole lot of poetry available in Indian, Armenian and other languages that can be made into a rock song. Notwithstanding, the song is "almost" fresh but this is not where near the brilliance of Kandisa. I understand that this is part of project but would not like to see them doing covers. #stayoriginal

buddy, what's wrong in doing covers? a cover is not a copy of a song but rather you change the song completely and sort of make it their own. what the band is done here, IMHO they have completely justified nusrat saabs composition. Many even bigger artists have done covers, Kurt Cobain for example sang half of his MTV unplugged set in covers! Also India ocean had made this song years back and used to perform it live, it is only now that they have put it here. don't hate if you don't know bro.

@@TheSoham911 Its just that I am so used to them singing originals that I am not happy if they do covers. I know them personally and they are ferociously against recreating and performing any other artists' work. And I really did not like their version (personal choice) and have never been fan of the original either.
