Wes Anderson’s best movie. I’m one of the few people who saw it in the theater.

@@hellowhoop4737 I was so obsessed I took a trip to Texas just to stay at the motel, in the same room. It still looked like it did in the movie, with a few exceptions. The staff didn’t understand why I wanted to see the laundry room 😂

@@hellowhoop4737 It does but it has been hurting. They sometimes screen Bottle Rocket there in the field. It looks totally different now. Days Inn, Hillsboro TX.

There’s some genius aspects in BR. Some lines still crack me up every single time. “What has she ever done with her life that’s so great?” “You like these? Done.” “I bet that piano was worth ten grand” “You’re out too. And I don’t think I’m in either.”

The 1992 short will always be an inspiration to young filmmakers everywhere. Getting it into Sundance, then getting it sold was like lightning in a bottle rocket.

Total bs Their dad was a big tv executive. That’s how they got a crap short into Sundance. I hate these trite things.

Amazing film Definitely a cult classic Wes in 90s and 00s was just a massive raw indie talent. Especially his first three movies. Just beautiful.

saw it in the theater and many times since. Met Dignan at a party, he was talking w Drew Barrymore, he introduced me to Wes who told me about his upcoming film with Bill Murray. I told him that it prolly was good fit. "Who is that man?" :)

Delicious to watch, real art, amazing movie. Wes Anderson first 4 movies told us all we need to know about his talent and creativity. Larger budgets, for some crazy reason(s) watered down what made those movies so great. Anyway I still like to watch his movies always expecting to see a less polished and formula bottled Wes.

First 4 movies - bottle rocket to Steve zissou (which had a large budget and got very mixed reviews and was considered a lesser film). I don't quite see your point. I thought Zissou was great but it was considered a drop off from his first 3 films.

. @nms7872 Agree that Life Aquatic is a fun and well made movie - I actually love that movie. Moonrise also is on my top list. Cheers
