So when they were trying to get off Bad Boy, Ruff Ryder’s was securing their deal w Jimmy Iovine & Interscope in 1998-99 they wanted to add the Lox to their label. So Jimmy Iovine helped get them off Bad Boy so it could happen. It worked out the end cuz the lox became more successful eventually getting all their publishing back from Puff down the road & the business relationship that Jimmy Iovine has w Puff grew from there along w Iovine’s relationship w Double R. Bc nobody can say anything bad about Jimmy bc when his artists needed him he took care of them

It was definitely a big hit in its day. But, this is just testament to Erick Sermon’s (E-Double/the Green eyed bandit/MC Grand Royal) genius on the beats. E-Double is one of the most underrated producers. He is on par with Dre, Premier, Timbaland, and Pete Rock! He is cut from that cloth.
